David, I find this hard to believe that you have the experience of someone like Chris or a few others here. Seriously stop trying to make yourself sound like an experienced keeper with aggressive animals.

Oh wait, this is an april's fools joke.. i get it.

It amazes me I have talked to expert breeders face to face they say I am a great keeper. One guy offered me a FWC for 50 because he saw I had good husbandry and he needed to get rid of it. But interweb people dislike me just because I used to be a rude jerk

I think this all should just be dropped now.. You where given advice before you got the snake. Thats in the past. Now you have the snake and you seem to be doing a good job with her, thats good.. So lets move forward and leave the past behind. And the best way to do that is to just not bring it up again. I know you feel in your heart that you are doing the right thing, so that is all that matters. You are happy, the snake is happy and healthy, and thats great. So lets no longer dwell in moments that passed us by so long ago. :) I mainly wanted to tell you not to bring it up again in my first post because I knew that it would cause conflicts.. You are doing really well here and I would like it to stay that way.. :)

Good for you. No one cares.

But interweb people dislike me just because I used to be a rude jerkOh NOW I see the April Fools joke!

BTW, Interweb people dislike you because you are STILL rude, it's just not as blatantly obvious. You still like to rub every little thing you do right in everyone's face. That's not being humble and modest. That's not sitting back and taking everything we've told you to heart. You know the sage advice "Shut up and listen"? I will admit that I have seen you listening a bit more, but I have yet to see you shut up when the need arises.

Side note - the name Eric used is a common name for this species. Not just his name. Anyone who did even a google search would know that.

Good luck with Jasmine. She sure is pretty.

I think if you keep handling her often, she might just keep her calmness.. If she ever strikes the s position pose though I would love to see a pic :) My LTR can get in the worst psycho moods when others are around.. But she has yet to get that way since I have had her at home.. I am curious if she will stay that way or if shell ever get into a funk. I pretty much trust her for the most part to not get crazy, but I know the chance is still there. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that everyone was so afraid of her, but I never was.. Then again, I always had a way with animals.. ;)
So my experience leads me to believe yours may be the same..

I agree, David, this is a beautiful snake. Good luck with it but still you are a newb to the hobby pure and simple.
Stop trying to be the Expert, seriously, just be a kid.

As for your snake's behavior I have seen personalities change as a snake grows. Or a newly purchased snake is sweet but after it is accustomed to its new home it starts to become aggressive.

But again, its is a beautiful animal and you have a good looking snake. Even though its passive right now doesnt mean in 6 months its the same animal.

That is very true but I would not call myself a newb but not an expert more intermediate. Just a thought I mean not to rub it iin people face but I have a spieces of snake that is Captive bred by one person in the US. Gherp. But I am sure that most of the people here know more than me but I do know alot about snakes I will hav ekept for 6 years in September

I'm curious why people that don't agree with you are "intraweb people", and people that agree with you are experts?

I don't care what 500 breeders tell you to your face. I trust what I know about the scientific research that has been done on the species as a whole. This research supports my earlier advice.

I'll say it again...you are doing well with the snake and the snake is responding, for now, in a docile manner. Good for you. Good for the snake. Good luck and congratulations.

It doesn't change the validity of MY OPINION that you would have been better off waiting a while to get this snake. That is still good advice, and is still an opinion based on founded research on this species. It's also still how I feel. I'm just waiting for your "Help Me" topic on this snake...

I never said your husbandry was beyond help...I said it should be better, and that you displayed questionable practices in your videos. That is true and valid. I also never said that you would never be able to handle this snake. I said I didn't think you were ready for it yet. That is STILL how I feel, and is still a valid and research-based opinion.

I don't really care if you don't like it or don't agree with it. That's fine. But you needn't keep throwing it in my face. Have some humility and modesty. I don't continually remind you of things you have said in the past, and I do my level best to move beyond what happened "back then". You should, too...

See...this is what I am talking about. Who cares? This has absolutely no bearing nor impact on this particular topic, nor this particular species of snake. So why is it brought up?

It's only stated as a way of saying, "I know more than you" or "I'm better than you cause I have obscure snakes". Frankly, THIS is what gets people up in a dander over your posts. You may not be acting like a loud-mouthed punk, but you are still being arrogant and still taking shots at people.

The above quote is saying nothing more than, "Look at me. I have obscure snakes and dangerous snakes. I know more than you do." That's it. What other purpose could this statement have in this conversation other than some mis-guided "proof" of your superior husbandry and knowledge?:shrugs:

Chris I agree that my husbandry was not good. I have all my animals in a tub system that has heat tape and all of the snakes are on aspen and have a large water and 2 hides. i belive that is better than what I had

He's not that much different to a lot of people on here, he just has a different approach. One that sets people off, it seems... LOL

See an expert complementing me! Thanks Im gonna visit you in UK
I'm no expert.... Far from it in fact....
And you don't know exactly where I live, do you?
