Went out to Farmer's Pond this morning for some shots. During the fall and winter, this area is flooded as a waterfowl habitat. During the spring and summer, it is emptied, and explodes in blossoms of wild sunflowers...

Is the Mt. Tom and Wheeler Crest photo HDR? It looks fantastic. LOVE them all, but especially I love the photo of your best friend. He has an amazing face, filled with character and kindness! I hope his remaining days will be filled with wonder and friendship. Great pix, every single one of them.

No HDR work, here. Just a graduated neutral density filter. I believe I used a 3stop soft for the landscapes.

So sorry about your dear friend. As a nurse I can tell you that a doc can give you a timeline, but that doesn't mean squat!!
