Thai Bamboo Ratsnake (Oreocryptophis porphyraceus coxi) Progression Thread

I thought that I had posted, but my computer/connection was acting funky, and I guess after all that it never happened...bother *sigh*!

SO!

Excellent birthday present to yourself! When is/was the happy 16th??? :)

Darwin is handsome -- and I, as well, love his racing stripes as they start directly from his eyes & voom! Take off down his body...:sidestep:

I *also* love the orchid! Beautiful choice of plant for posing...displays Darwin's colors very nicely. :)

(PS...By the way, I'm coming to Charlotte in 2 weeks for my spring break for some mumsy-lovin' & some desperately needed r-&-r...I'm eagerly anticipating some better weather!!! I'm also bringing my amel, Maizie, so my 4-year old niece can meet her...my mom said that it would be nice for Ava to know that there are "good" snakes out there, as all their backyard seems to offer is copperheads...:p)

Thanks Everyone!

Hey Christina! My birthday isn't until April 28th but it is coming up pretty quickly. Then its time for me to get a car! Anyways, I thought the plant worked well with his colors too. It also was the perfect size and was just sitting here! I can't wait for him to grow!

The weather is great down here right now but was cold last week! Hopefully it is great when you are here. Is that the weekend of the 15th? I will be here then but we are leaving for the beach on the 19th. Thats the day when my break starts. I need to meet you and Maizie! Why isn't Fritiz coming along for the trip? He is the one that started everything off right? He is your classroom man! Anyways, I am sure you will have fin on your trip down here...we will meet up sometime, lol.

That makes me laugh -- for you, warmer weather means the beach...for me, warmer weather means just being in the double digits. :p Cold last week? Umm, as long as there isn't snow, I'm fine with it...! From what The Weather Channel is showing me for the upcoming weather, I'm thrilled to bits...:)

Don't worry -- you'll meet all of them soon enough. With Chicago's new sales tax hike making it the most expensive city in the country (10.25%, up from 9% or so...) I'm pushing more than ever now on moving out of Chicago. My thought is, you don't have to shovel humidity in Charlotte -- but now, with the new Chicago sales tax, at least in Charlotte I could afford to buy a bloody shovel, if I need one! :angry01:

Enjoy the beach! :dancer:

Cool, but you need to move before I go to college! If your snakes need a home for a few days during the move, they can stay with me. And I can tell you the good schools around here if you are still going to teach!

wow. theres no two ways about it, im getting one! that is one of the nicest snakes ive ever seen!
how big do they get? if they get the same as corns that would look amazing!

They actually are smaller than corns. I think 4 feet would be the max for them!

Well it has been a month so I thought I would update you all! He is now at 15 grams and has already shed once. He has never refused a meal and still has not shown any signs of aggression! I am very pleased with this boy! These pictures are not too great because I didn't really have a full photo shoot, I just took a few quick shots!

Enjoy!

He is so cool! I love how you can tell what direction he is looking because of how his eyes are marked.
