Rosy Blood a.k.a. Upper Keys Bloodred (Natasha; 2006)

Before you call foul, I think the morph is distinct enough to separate it from straight-up bloodred. ;)

He qualifies for Sunglow, but I've never hear of a "Sunglow Ultramel" ... what do you guys think? He produced some excellent Motleys for me this year :)

I like the name because it's funny, Stef, but she certainly doesn't deserve it. Since she may be in my care for a year or two, I think you should change her name to "Princess". :grin01:

(I posted a recent pic of her in my "Corns in Brumation: Part Three" thread...)

oooh, Foul'd! :punch: I'm out then... that was fun! I think this thread should be stickied for future reference lol, some great morph pictures everyone!

I don't agree that a hypo Miami is always a Crimson..... genetically they may be the same but that's the case with upper keys blood and regular blodo or miami versus normal too.... I think you are not fouled out.

You're not the only person I've heard make that distinction. To me, a crimson is a homozygous HypoA that also conforms to the Miami standard (i.e., silver ground color). What's the difference between a hypo-Miami and a crimson? I definitely DON'T think the difference can be as significant as it is between a rosy blood and a traditional bloodred, but then again, I don't really deal with Miamis (though I love them). :shrugs:

That's got to be true, otherwise flourescent, sunglow, vomitmels and reverse okeetees would all be 'just amels'. Genetically they are, but the expression of the genes plus agreed standards gives distinct morphs.(And the chance to disagree over those standards)
