Mice! They taste so nice!
I've had to do a mass clean-out today, because of a fly infestation in the snake tubs
uke01:
There was no regurges to attract them, and I only feed Mr Bonney in his home, which had no flies at all. I can only guess that it was the snake-poop they were after. I've treated their new bedding with diatomaceous earth powder, which I have got in case of mites. It'll be interesting to see if it works as well as it's supposed to.
For the 5 million flies that were buzzing around my room, I sprayed the net curtains and lampshades with a cage and hutch spray insect killer, now that there's the snakes, gecko, treefrog, cockateil and kittens in here, as well as the dog and myself, I don't want to risk using general purpose fly spray. Hopefully they'll land on the treated areas and die. I've been using the spray this way in my bedroom with good results, to keep flies away from the mouse farm without poisoning us as we sleep.
