The official Black Milksnake thread!!

So to post on something other than the 16 year old kid drama (glad he is taking a break for a little while) that seems to rule this otherwise happy forum, my little Nasya is consistently pounding fuzzies each week with no regard for her near death shipping experience :) I am going to take that as a sign from her that she is gonna live long and prosper.

And while a bit :-offtopic... my latest venture into Mussurana's finally took a turn for the better last night as my little lady named Kali finally took her first meal at last. I was getting rather worried thinking I basically tossed my 300 bucks into a fire and was second guessing myself as a somewhat ok snake keeper.

But of course as soon as one snake finally starts to feed, my prized Leucistic Pine snake has now gone off feed the last 3 weeks. I just cant ever seem to get every one of my snakes to understand whats expected of them lol! I think they are messing with me :realhot:

Yes, I agree I think these snakes get together and plan how they are going to mess with our heads every now and then. LOL

Well, I don't have any good pictures yet, but I did catch Wrath in the middle of a shed. I posted it elsewhere, but figure I'll post it here too. He's not quite as black as he looks in the video...but he is getting very close to total black.

Dangit (my work blocks so much stuff) I cant see all of your post. I'll check it out when I get home though!!!

Great Video! I like the 'sound track' too. ;)

It's been a while since anyone updated my favorite thread! My Nasya has been gaining some size since I last posted so I thought it was a good time to get some shots of her and have them here for progression pics to look back on as she grows up! If any of you have any new black milks pics to add...please do!! I love seeing them! Especially big adults :) Here is my little lady in all her splendor:

Im a fan of the more colourful snakes - but I love the shape of the faces on these - theres something sort of ugly/attractive about them...

Anyone know why they go from banded to black like they do - they look like mimics with the three banded schema - so why go so dark when mimicry seems to work fine?

Pretty animals, but I doubt they are available in the uk :( - nothing much good seems to be *sigh*

Markus, it's pretty funny that you updated this. I was actually planning on posting an update on Joakim soon. Here are a couple of pictures I took the other day. :)

That's the first picture I have ever gotten where you can see what color his eyes are. I finally got a new camera to play around with, and it is so much better than my old one. :) And I figured that was the safest way my cat could interact with any of the snakes. LOL

It's crazy how fast it happens. It seems like I blinked and he turned black! He's almost done now, which is pretty crazy. I kind of miss the tri-color, but I know I'm going to love seeing how big he's going to get. :)

Joe, Coal is looking so cool! He's huge, too! Those are some nice pictures. :)

Well it turned out terrific!!! Mine are taken with my cell phone which does not quite get me the close up's I would like such as that one you took there!
