The official Black Milksnake thread!!

That's great news, Markus! :) I'm glad she ate for you.

My Black Milk just shed tonight. I'll have to get some new pictures of him up. I'll try for that tomorrow. (I also have to get some Corn pictures, so that will all work out.)

Thanks Suzy :)

Yes do post some pics when you are able!! I always looove to see nice pics of our Blackies!!!

I've got 2 snakes to get pictures of tomorrow, so I'll definitely get those up. (I might try to get them tonight if I'm too impatient. LOL) He has lost a lot of his color from the last shed to now. It's crazy how dark he is. He's almost to the finish line! He's 16 months old (September '08) so that's about right. What surprises me is his weight. He was just under 250 grams as of his last feeding. I have a feeling he's going to be a big guy when he's an adult.

I can't wait to see pics either, Suzy!!! It's great that he's SOOOO big and has lost so much color.

Funny thing is that one of mine (well, Jynx's), Solstice is REALLY DARK and still weighs around 100 grams!!! I mean REALLY dark. I'll have to take pics when I can. LOL.

Hey Markus

Here's a pic of the ball room racks and one of the black milks in it. The racks are stackable.

Ah thats very cool!!! So it looks like they do fine in tubs that are of decent larger size but nothing abnormally huuuge!

Fred, that sounds really cool! I'd love to see pictures of all of them! *hint hint* LOL - I also measured him today. He's 33" long. I didn't get a weight because he was being really spazzy.

dndvictory (sorry, I don't know your name), that rack is really cool! I think that would be perfect for me!

Just so you all know, I updated Joakim's Progression Thread with some pictures. Here's a teaser:

I saw your other post on Joakim. He is really getting black. These are my favorite snakes. I'm sure you're excited to see him grow in size and finish his color change.

As much as I don't want to admit it (The Corns outweigh Black Milks 6:1. There might be a riot on my hands if I say this out loud.) Black Milks are my favorites, too. Joakim is still a little spazzy, but he's getting better about it. He started thrashing toward the end of the photo shoot, so I had to put him away.

This is what I am working with right now, but I hope to move to racks soon in order to save some room as you are there
