IIRC, even Siskel and Ebert gave this one a "two thumbs up" because it was "so bad it's good"....

I'll add the "Friday The 13th" series to this as well.....I and a few of my cronies would go to those to do a "MST3K night", filled with catcalls at the screen.....the hackneyed material in those movies are comedy gold, I tell ya!

Karate Kid is also full of ethnic slurs. Somehow I missed them while watching these movies as a youth, but just find myself saying "Wow!" when catching them these days.

I don't think he is as cute as everyone is making him out to be, but I wouldn't say he is ugly.
