THE Solution for "flaky" Sheds

I don't know about yall, but my baby snakes first shed wasn't a good one. She didn't shed all in one peice and it took her a while to get out of all her skin. After brainstorming, I have come up with THE ALL TIME SOLUTION for a perfect shed :)

Right before my babies first shed, I misted the tank twice a day for two days. When her eyes started clearing and getting ready to shed I took a washcloth the length of my tank lid and wet it down. I layed it across the top and covered it with a regular clear peice of cling wrap. It made the humidity higher and constant so she shed all in one peice and FAST!

Hope this helps someone who, like me, has had shedding issues with their snake.

I find that providing my corn with a "sweat box" when she first goes blue always helps. It's just an enclosed cave with some damp kitchen paper at the bottom, which I put on the warm side of the viv. She gets straight into it, and I've found that it knocks about 3 days off the shed time, and it always comes off in one piece.

Robbie, I routinely cover anyone in glass vivs with cling wrap- I just lay it loosely over the entire screen. If the snake is a known poor-shedder, I may even mist the underside of the plastic once or twice, in addition to misting the viv lightly every couple days.

Huh... well there you go then!
I had always been told only cover 1/2 to 3/4 of the top.

I have purple cling wrap and I save it from one time to the next! Right by the snake's viv.

That's a pretty good idea, but for future reference, I'd only cover half of the tank.

I forgot to mention that I cover only half on the days that her eyes are cloudy. When the eyes start to clear and her nose starts peeling I cover the whole thing. It really speeds the shed up alot.

If I have a poor shedder I just provide a moist hide... something with moistened ground coconut and they never have a problem.

Question, How long after their eyes clear up do they usually shed?
Because Spike was blue. Then yesterday she was cleared up, and still hiding alot.
I have an enclosed cave that she LOVES with damp paper towel in the bottom, on her warm side, because I don't know if sheds well or not, yet.
