Got Ghosts?
Well Ra was euthanized last Wednesday and after continuing to go down hill. His weight loss had gone to the extreme and multiple fecals came up negative. A basic necropsy from the vet showed that he had a pale fatty liver, consistent with not getting any nutrients also that his stomach wall was very thick. He was sent out to a lab to have a full necropsy done and I am just waiting to hear back to see what they believe it is. I am still thinking crypto which really is bugging me cause of all my other reptiles. Will let everyone know what the results are when I here them.
 
RIP RA. At least in life he had someone that would do all they could for him.

That's way sad... I hope you''ll get an answer but that's not crypto!!! Or at least something that is not or not very contagious.
 
Just heard back from the vet and it was Crypto will have to keep an close eye on all my other snakes. All of them are doing well and eating well.
 
Sorry to hear that. You can test your other snakes for $80-$100 probably, each. I wouldn't waste money doing the acid-fast test, I'd go straight to PCR or IFA.
