What blonde chick?!
So, I came across this photo from a post-mortem photography site I frequent. I found it awesome! Obviously, if anybody is dead in the pic it's the snake so you aren't looking at a dead person, I promise! LOL! Anybody care to take a guess as to what kind of snake it is? I have no clue. The tongue has obviously been added to the photograph by the way.

I don't know why but it looks like a bull snake or a pines snake to me. That is pretty cool. Never thought I'd see a picture of a little girl holding a demon serpent from the turn of the century or early 20th century...lol

I've got another one,but,I was pretty positive on the snake I.D. I'll post it anyway!

Remember! None of these photos actually belong to me! Though, I would love to own them. I've been scouring old victorian and vintage photos in my warehouse and so far have not found anything remotely interesting like these!

The first one looks like a HUGE bullsnake...or a tiny little girl...;)

The second one is a Burmese python...

Great photos! I guess reptile husbandry is older than we thought!!
 
Yeah, I knew the second was a Burmese. Her name was Bertha I believe and she was a snake charmer for Ringling Brothers. That first one just stumped me. I thought it was a bull but maybe the girl is so tiny that it's making the snake look so huge!
 
It's a bullsnake. Man, I wish I could get permission to use an image like that in my book. I DO have a neat older image of a bullsnake that I might use, but nothing as neat as that one!

Got another one for you guys! As you can see there are THREE snakes in the pic and a really cool hair-do! I know what the big guy is but can't really tell what the other two are. Care to guess!?

One looks like a red tail, one a retic or burm.. and the white one....hmmm, some kind of rat snake? Leusistic maybe although I can't recall when the leucys came around to be. Oh, and the hair...how I wish I had that do!
 
I think there's four snakes in that last one... The boa, the retic(my guess), the white rat snake, and a small one in her hand--looks like maybe another rat snake? Can't tell, though, it looks like its head was moving when the photo was taken, so it's blurred out. :shrugs:
 
The pattern on the big one looks like an African rock pythion, but it's really tough to tell.

I also see a good size red tail, a small red tail(in hand), and the Leucy ratsnake on the back of the couch. When was leucism first discovered in ratsnakes?
 
Oh I'm sure they're all alive! LOL! Not all the pics from Thanatos.net are of dead people. I didn't even pay attention until it was pointed out that there ARE 4 snakes but now I see it clearly! I was thinking Leucy Rat too but wasn't sure because I don't know when they came about.
