What temps are you incubating at? For a corn to pip at day 49, your heat was probably higher than normal...which can cause funky patterns on the babies. It's very cool, either way!
Thank You for your help first of all -! And to answer your question:
Since day one in the incubator, it has gotten above 80* one time - 84* for less than an hour - it was over 80* outside, our trailer was prolly closer to 85* - but we installed a better air flow immediatly and it has not once gone over 80* since - typical is 78 to 80... it has how ever, dropped below 78 a few times, once it got down to 73 (scared us to death) but again, the cause was immediatly remedied, not to mention, Our EXTENDED winter has FINALLY come to an end! lol)
Also, as I said in one of these posts..LOL this little guy was an "obvious premie", and now that it has been three days and no other of the 4 to 6 eggs that appear viable look anywhere close to pre-pip collapse- Also the egg he came out of had another snake in it, although obviously died some time before our little miracle surprise busted out. And what a BEAUTY of a Birthday present, couldn't have out done last years "First Skydive" present with much less! lol
