I've only heard the term snopal not glacier so that's what I voted for.

Snopal sounds childish but it's the name the thing is taken. So as Mary said, "Let it be"

I prefer Lavender Snow myself as well.

"glacier" makes me think lava ought to be in the mix since "ice" = lava + anery (right?).
Then again none of the morphs seem to stick with a theme for more than one or two combos XD
But that's okay... I admit I like pearl, but I'm too familiar with snopal at this point. Maybe pearl can be anery B + lavender + amel? ;D
(admittedly I thought it was actually anery A + B + amel)

I agree...
Snopal sounds like something Frosty the Snowman left on your front lawn and you just stepped in...

LOL it does...I thought it also sounded like a Pokemon....like that Squirdle thing.

I've also seen Snopal used most often...although I do like the Lavender Snow name better. To me, it's a more appealing and descriptive name. But, that's just my opnion.

all can be revealed now as to the purpose of the original question.....

Adsclarke (a few posts up) has written an excellent online morph predictor, and we had a bit of a differing view as to whether 'snopal' or 'glacier' should be used, so a big thank you to everyone who has contributed their opinions and placed their vote ;)

The CornCalculator is at www.corncalc.com

Hi Ian & adsclarke,
That is a very nice calculator. I really like the way it is link to Ian's Vivarium so one may see a picture of said morph/mutation. I am wondering if I can have your permission to place a link or a banner on my website so other may be directed to the calculator from another source. I have a couple of calculators on my site for download but some people may not want the extra space taken up on their hard drive and this would give them another option. If you have a banner already made up I would be more then willing to place it on my site. If not, then I would also be willing to place a link as well. Please let me know what you think.
Thanks in advance,
Jay

I call it PEARL! Which is one of the earliest terms used to describe it in one of Kathy Love's earlier editions. Although I must admit the snake in question may have been an opal.

I linked to the corncalc from my site too. I find it really useful. :D

I prefer Glacier but feel that I would end up explaining this to people in reference to Snopals anyway so it wouldnt make much difference since Snopal is what most folks are familiar with.
