What should the "Beast" be called? Morph name?

It looks as though "Bestia intergrade" is taking the lead. I also looked up Bestia to see if it had any other meanings. It is also associated with serpents. So it does seem to fit the description. :)

I think "bestia integrade" may sound 'official' and fancy and what not, but doesn't really say much about the snake and may lead some to think its a completely different species rather than a hybrid.

My vote is still for "titan ratsnake" - titan means big and rat snake is what it is. :)

Black rat x corn

Well they named black rat x corn, frosted rusty I think but not sure if its the same type of black rats that is used with yours:shrugs:

how about "Bestia intergrade" (bestia iis the latin word for beast..but it makes it sound a little nicer"..)

I don't know that enough "Joe Publics" know their Latin to make "Bestia intergrade" work in a shop or at a show... quite simply because they're going to associate the prefix with something else entirely, which has much less savoury connotations.

If you're going to go for the Latin, I'd perhaps combine Obsoleta with Guttattus ... or go for a translated word that describes what black rat+corns look like patternwise (Obsoleta refers to the 'wearing out' of the pattern in black rats; Guttattus refers to the 'spotted' or 'blotched' saddle pattern of a corn).

That sounds like something people in the south go to jail for.

:laugh01: LMAO!

Ok so here are some pics. The female was a little uncoperative so I only got the couple shots that show her color. The eye color is the same for both of them. Not brown but more of an amber/orange color. I want you guys to know it was not easy trying to hold this guy in one hand while taking pics with the other. LOL My table is just over 5 ft and he stretches out to a little over the edges. The female isn't quit as big as he is in length.

These pic are the male. I had to do the belly in 2 takes and the colors are right, part is yellow and part is what ever you want to call that.

Sorry my internet went down for few moments. So here are a couple quick shots of the female. Like I said before, she was a bit moody yesterday so this is the best she would do for me. LOL

O.k. First, Are we naming the offspring from THESE snakes, or trying to name black rat x corns? Are these JUST Black rat x corns, or are they something else, too? Black rat X ? X ? X Corn?

If we are naming these snakes, you call them beasties, to me I equate beasts with 2 things. Those are horror movies, and comic books.
1) Beasties = Horror movies = Terror or Terra?
2) Beast = Xmen = Colossus = Colossal.
2) (Revisited) Beast = X Men = Juggernaut.

Now those that want to participate will need to decide, naming these x's or naming ALL Black rat X's, and should ALL black rat x's be named for these, if no one knows, what EXACTLY these are?

Bekers, you'll have a p.m. soon.
