I've been dabbling with anime style art lately. I've been drawing and painting for aeons. These were pencil sketches that I coloured on the computer.

My art is my photography. Check the link in my signature to see my gallery. I will take pics of just about anything but really specialize in nature, wildlife, landscapes, etc...

I do sketches in pencil, but I only took regular photos, not any digital. I've done a bull rider for a friend of mine as well as a bronc rider. I also did the B-25 I used to crew on for the pilot who also happened to be my flight instructor. I've also drawn some horses for friends that have them as well. The next one I do, I'll take a picture. I also do embroidery. I embroidered a black lab with a chuckar in it's mouth on the back of a vest I made for my husband. Took me a year to do...I was sick of black thread, I can tell you that!

My art "skillz" leave a lot to be desired, but I've won some competitions with my poetry.

Dean's a shy boy about it, but he's a very good artist, especially pencil drawings.

What a talented bunch of people!

Wish I could do stuff like that! I especially liked the winter woods drawing, but everyone's art showed a LOT of talent!

Well, since Tula suggested it, here's my "art". Hope you don't mind Sunny.

Someplace
A slim line between heaven and hell.
One man's destiny,
and another's destination.
From the hinges of hell,
to the gates of heaven.
A tear falls down the face of the world.
Pushing in.
Pushing out.
Forever held in place.
From the depths of the sea,
to the reaches of space,
we all fit in someplace.
Together or apart,
we are all part of the same great puzzle

I do several versions of "Art". Painting, Drawing, Sketching, Singing. All of those run in my big big family some how. lol

Well I'll grace you all with a page from my Sadistic Anime pages. lol Its rough I know but I make them interesting lol.

Well, I don't know about photography as art unless you can draw a line between snapshots and photography. I think photography is more about documenting life while using the same "rules" of art, (rule of thirds, composition, light balance, etc..). It seems to be one of those debates where there is more than one side. In this age of technology someone with little skill can get lucky when you have the ability to take a few hundred shots of the same thing and then pick the few that are actually pleasing to the eye to display. :sidestep: Then there is the manipulation software... Would Ansel Adams embrace Photoshop, or reject it as cheating? Is it the same as darkroom manipulation? :shrugs: I have seen some "artists" who impress me with their ability to take a photograph and turn it into something more using software, not by just clicking on a couple commands, but real skill and knowledge of the technology. I consider myself a hobby photographer as I try to follow the rules, but sometimes I just break them to see what happens. I know what I like and try to capture that in my photographs, and yes, I love Photoshop. If I can't get the shot I see in my mind I will take the closest to it that I can and then make it conform. Sometimes I feel that I'm just lucky to be in the right place, right time, with the right conditions.... You can see for yourself and make up your own mind here... My gallery
