Who's got the oldest corn on the forum?

I would have to agree. My oldest (an 05 butter) was starting to get fat so I cut her back to once every 14 days.

To the OP: In Kathy Love's book, she says the record for the longest living corn snake is something like 34 years. I may be off by a few years, as I don't have the book handy and I haven't read it in a bit.

32 years :)

My big boy creamsicle (somewhere between 1200g - 1300g) is over 10 years old now, I can't hardly believe I got him so long ago, he's still my only snake! By the sounds of things he's still a baby compared to some though :)

I'm hoping he'll smash the record and live to 35 at least :D

Keep it going: Oldest cornsnake in the forum

Hi. Sorry for any redundancy if I cause any, but I was curious to see what the oldest snake was that anyone in the forum has or had. I am a newer member and my son (he's 7) wants his snake to live as long as possible (like anyone else, of course) and wanted to know how old the oldest snake on the forum was. I also have read multiple places that the oldest, anytime or place, was just over 32 years of age (as mentioned above). We just have one, Cooley, who just past one year Dec. 26th, 2010. We are trying our best to take care of him and would like him to break the longevity record by living forever. Sorry in advance for breaking any forum rules. It looks like 21 for the forum is the oldest according to this thread.

This thread may be old, but Jonesy is still going - he'll be 23 this summer.

Still would like to see pictures of him one day bitsy. I know what you said earlier. But one day maybe.

LOL! I just never think of picking up a camera on feeding day. One of these fine days he'll be ready for his close-up!!

I have one that will be 14 in July :D I personally feel 1000+ grams for a corn is too much so my guy eats and exercises to maintain a weight between 700 and 800 grams. Well, for him 1000 is too much he was just under that when I got him and had really bad fat rolls now he just has some hips and is building his muscles.

32?????!!!! Damn! My first horse lived that long and I was so patting myself on the back that I got that age outta him. I wish I knew Draco's age. I just know he's an adult. Can't you age them by their teeth or rings on a scale or something????

You must be doing something right! Funny thing- Justine, the OP- was just asking on Facebook yesterday what the average lifespan was. She still has cornsnakes and a bearded dragon.
