My 2ft RTB won't fit in a paper towel roll, well not without half of him sticking out. :shrugs:

You obviously don't remember when he first showed up. He doesn't take any advice period. If he has no intention of taking advice then why would he bother to ask for it in the first place? Could it be the child is just trying to get attention?

When one willingly refuses to take the advice given (which r_a has done) and an animal dies I'd say the harm was done intentionally.

I'm sure (especially after this post) I'm one of the people you are talking about that harasses people. You have painted myself and a few others here as people who are laying in wait for someone to jump on. You couldn't be further from the truth. I go out of my way to help people. I have had people here and on other forums PM me asking questions about their reptiles. I give them advice and answer their questions without knowing or ever talking/writing to them ever before. I have organizers and vendors from shows I attend giving my e-mail address to people who are looking for information concerning their reptiles. If I'm such the bad person you have painted me as, why would these people want my advice? :shrugs:

Dandy i wanted to say i have not painted anyone. and i know a little about r_a and he isn't a bad person eather, but every post he makes he gets flamed on, i know a lot of people who don't really like to post cuz all the flaming recently, which yes i agree recently theres been a lot of flaming, and i honestly don't like it, but I'm a dumb teen anyways. when i first came to this forum it was not anything like it is now, there was some flaming then, but never like it is now. almost all forums have some argument in them. if r_a is begging for attention what wrong with giving him a little instead of flaming him, i live with a disabled person who through a bigger fit and tells more lies then everyone on this site put together, we agree with him make him think hes right and there ya go, u have a happy person u wont hear from for a while. but if he has a question and all he gets is flaming, then why would he wanna believe the people who flame him, and cav, read down a little more on the site, i got hot headed yes and hurt someone publically, i agree but i also said i was sorry publically too. what else do you want? but i have not and will not paint anyone, i know everyone here is nice, so what the heck is up with all the flaming? just try to be nice if its so obvious someone is dying for attention, then give them a little, just be nice and calm, a whole lot more people will get involved in this forum again

Just because your a teenager sherry does NOT mean your dumb by any means but RA goes past the line of stupidity sometimes, the reason people come on to forums is to get help, not to post about there silly mistakes that they seemingly keep making! i'd be much happier to think that RA is lying about everything thats happened to his snakes because otherwise he is not capable of continuing to keep snakes!

I still want to know how you lose a 24" boa in a paper towel roll. That just does NOT make sense. If I opened up one of my tubs and didn't see a snake (and with corns I usually don't), I would look 1st in it's fav hide, 2nd in the other hides, then I would take everything OUT and go through the aspen. That's all just simple common sense. He said he didn't think the boa could fit in the paper towel roll . . . then why was it in there? Was it cut? Did he pick it up? Even if it somehow squished itself into an uncut paper towel roll, wouldn't it be noticeably heavy to lift? So he posts to the forum that he needs help finding his boa? He has searched his house, without bothering to thoroughly search the TUB?!? The story is just too incredible to be believed! Now, do incredible things happen sometimes? YES! But every time you turn around RA has some crazy story, they don't add up, they don't make sense . . . Sure there can be occasional miscommunication, but every post you submit? Puleeeeze . . . His stories change every other day, he has different animals every time you turn around. Do you really believe it?

He has posted here several times about animals dying. If this is true, it is serious. Anyone who is taking good care of their animals shouldn't have so many dying/sick/lost. That is what makes people ANGRY with him :realhot: and with good reason. IF his stories are even 1/2 true he should not be keeping animals. PERIOD. However, personally, I think he's made them up to get attention. If RA is doing this for attention, he is getting it. Unfortunately for some kids negative attention is better than NO attention. If he wants to continue to solicit negative attention from this forum, and people want to keep giving it to him, okay. Initially I found RA very annoying, but over time I've actually come to see the entertainment value - sort of like watching stories on TV. LOL Assuming it's made up. I shudder to think if it's not.

And you ask why people can't just be nice and play along . . . well, the truth is that it's nobody on this forum's job or responsibility to babysit RA. And no matter what, he keeps coming back for more. You say people are afraid to post here cause they are afraid they will get flamed, yet the one person you say is getting flamed is behaving in a manner that he deserves to be called up on. :shrugs: Everybody here has been so nice and helpful to me, but I try to act like an adult and be respectful and considerate. There is quite a bit of teasing that goes on, but from what I can see most of it is really just in fun.

I think it is nice of you to try to stick up for RA, however, before getting on a soapbox you really should weigh the facts of the situation. I feel sorry for him too, sure I do, but he does need to get his act together IF he wants to be treated with respect.

Well...this is an interesting thread. Much amusement anyway. I'd just like to say that I was one of the many people that were nice to R_A at first. After many posts I found out that he just doesn't seem to care. If he can prove me wrong I hope he does. He quit posting for a bit, re-evaluated and started posting again. When he started reposting his posts were better than I had ever seen them. They've started to go downhill in my opinion. I hope that he can grow up and things will get better but I seriously doubt they will.

In other news how do you fit a 3' boa inside of a paper towel roll? Our 2' boa won't even fit in one of thse.
