Thread of the week

Digestion works. It's nice to see a thread get resolved so quickly and with so few arguments. Of course, who could argue with the innate truth and simplicity of the (hopefully rhetorical) question "If you eat a sandwich, do you have a sandwich sized poop?"

Quote of the week

Joejr14:
I think there should be some rule about having 'man boob' in your avatar.

Quoted Quote of the week

It's not KJUN's quote, but he quoted it at us, and I am quoting it at you:

"Anyone who cannot cope with mathematics is not fully human. At best he is a tolerable subhuman who has learned to wear shoes, bathe and not
make messes in the house." -- Lazarus Long, "Time Enough for Love", (Robert A. Heinlein)

Lizard in military outfit of the week

I am hoping this will become a regular section of the WIR. Contributions welcome.

Be afraid. Be very afraid

And that rounds it up for me. As most of you should be aware (if my psychic skills are working correctly), I did telepathically send this out yesterday during the forum downtime. I hope you enjoy this look at the written copy too though ;)

Good WIR, Toyah....BUT...
Please don't start dressing up your lizards to get pics....Where will it end, and some may think it's exploitation and cruel.....This is a reptile forum not a freak show...Just my opinion....

Great WIR Toyah, thank you! :)

There are a few threads there that I managed to miss for some reason or other, some of them were quite comical and brought a smile or a giggle, so thank you again!

Best wishes,

Great job Toyah! I am really needing the W.I.R.'s lately. Work has been crazy and there just isn't enough time in a day. Thanks for keeping me up to date this week. A++++++++

One small note: the "lizard in military outfit" photo belongs to Crackerhead and was part of a thread that she posted about her own animals, and how she dressed up Ozzie the bearded dragon for Halloween...it was just for fun, not for exploitation at all. :) I just adore the photo! Who could possibly resist a face like that?!

I realised that, and I thought it was really funny I even commented on it. But to make it a regular feature is pushing it a bit. And with newbs and kids on here how far will it go....Once was funny more than once and (in my opinion) it's getting on dodgy ground...

Thank you guys :) I wasn't around most of last week and had to do this in one long session yesterday, it took forever! But I'm glad people enjoyed reading it.

Great WIR, but...
I'm a girl, not a boy! :wavey:

Oops ... my bad. Sorry about that!

I don't really think it'll be a regular slot - if I wanted it to be a regular part of it then I'd have asked for something a bit more general, like "pets in fancy dress". But I think lizards in military gear is niche enough to be one of those once-in-a-lifetime events we never see again ;-)

Saying that, I'm of the opinion that there are much worse things we can do to animals than make them wear a hat once in a while for a photo...

Haha I like that the quote regarding man boob made it into the WIR.
I've since fixed the offending picture in question

Great WIR Toyah!
