Yet Another Signature Length Reminder

Susan

Go Ahead, Make My Day!
Alright, there has been a 4-line limit, including spaces, to signature length for a number of years. The system itself, at least the last time I altered my own signature, doesn't permit signatures beyond that limit. Yet, I am seeing signatures that are 5,6,...11 lines long, and it's NOT the size screen on my monitor as they are strictly a list of snakes, etc owned. I had to remove things from my own signature, even though they were within the 4-line limit, when I made my most recent changes, and I don't appreciate the fact that I have to keep sending PMs to members who have somehow circumvented the system. I don't know if there is a total number of characters in the signature code that is also in effect, but I'm not happy right now, and an unhappy moderator with a red button is not a good thing. PLEASE, check your signatures and make sure they are within the limits set down by Rich. Thanks.

I think I saw the one that set you off, Susan! I sent that person a PM- probably unaware of the rule.

Thank you for letting me know, mine was 5 lines. and I didn't know about the rule.

I've shortened mine now.

I read the sticky before I made mine. Yay, three lines ! I haven't seen the 11 line signature person.. but that sounds like a huge Sig o_O

If I keep my signature below the 4 line max rule can I end all my posts with the disclaimer below?

Guess it's time for this the get brought up to the attention of the membership again. I'm seeing multiple signatures over the limit, and what's really annoying, I thought Rich had it programmed so that members can't create signatures over 4 lines. Yup! Just tested it. How on Earth are they able to do it?
