*gulp*
Just handed in my notice at work. I'm leaving a stable, well-paid (24x7 callout, long hours, majorly stressful) job in IT, to study archaeology at university.
Nice timing - thanks to the credit crunch/recession, commercial archaeology is already grinding to a halt over here in the UK and fuel bills are set to double by the end of the year.
Still. At least I'm sticking it to The Man, eh? My inner teenager says - "Hell yeah!"
 :dancer:
Has anyone else downsized and lived to tell the tale? I could do with any success stories! Also the pitfalls I guess, so I can try and side-step them.
[Watch this space in 2011, for a 47 year old graduate in the market for any kind of job at all!]
