. . . when you install a dishwasher exclusively for snake bowls! I'm sure I've crossed the proverbial line, but got so tired of standing at the utility tub, washing 50+ bowls at a time, by hand!

I found the dishwasher on Craigslist for $30, and my hubby built the enclosure for me out of 3/4" plywood. I haven't decided whether to paint it, or just clear-coat it, but it's in the basement, and I doubt Architectural Digest will stop by for a photo shoot.

Total project cost, less than $90.

Wow- so lucky!! I wash by hand. Then, when I do hatchling bins, I do them in the bathtub. My bathtub has 16 hatchling bowls that are living in it, apparently...

Thanks Angela! I've got a herniated lumbar disc, and standing over the laundry tub was getting too painful. It's so nice to turn the knob, and walk away. Props to my hubby for installing it, and putting up with my snake-madness. A normal guy would have left a long time ago, lol! :)
