Zeke - My Miami Phase from ArpeggioAngel

Wylie

Meet Sparkle... :D
He is approximately 2 months and 1 week old now. He's simply gorgeous, such a perfect little snake, beautiful, with a really nice disposition. He calms down rather quickly after I pick him up and is sometimes perfectly content just to ride on my hand as I walk around. I love this little guy!!

Thanks everyone! :)

That is one very nice looking miami! Very nice contrast!

Thanks, I love that about him too. I specifically wanted a Miami with red/orange saddles surrounded by thick black borders on a silver background, ones like Carol Huddleston produces, and Katie came along with this little guy, his parents are both from Carol. Needless to say I'm very happy with him! He's even got a near perfect pattern, thanks to his mommy being a Milksnake Phase, another added bonus cause I love the Milksnake Phase Corn snakes too! :D

Great Miami! You know he is going to be a stunner coming from ArpeggioAngel. Congrats on your new addition :)

What a gorgeous Miami! Congrats on the pickup and hope we get to see a progression on him.
Thanks for sharing him with us.

god i love the miami phases they are sooo pretty..... i might want to invest in those when i go out to my next snake fest (whether my mom knows or not)

Update - Nov 5, 2009

Zeke is growing like a weed!!! I have him on the Munson plan just like I did my first corn snake, Flash, but dang, Zeke is growing A LOT faster on the same feeding regimen! Heck, he started out much bigger than Flash which is weird cause I got Zeke at only 1 month old but Flash was 4 months old when I got him!

Anyway, as of Oct 25th he weighed in at 26 grams. His saddles seem to really be lightening up which is great cause I was wanting the lighter, reddish saddles, he sure is getting purdy, not that he wasn't to begin with but I'm quite pleased with his progression of color! His mother has beautiful reddish saddles and I was hoping his would get that color! Looks like they are headed in that direction, yay!

Oh and much kudos to those of you who can get those really good close-up shots, I tried for about 20 min but Zeke just kept moving around too much! And getting him to coil nicely in a blue bowl... yeah... right... LOL.

Very nice! Well, I usually get my good up close shots via the zoom. :)

I usually use Macro mode and get up real close, it's just that he won't be still long enough for me to get the shot. I've got LOTS of shots of part of his head or shots that came out too dark, etc. I'll keep trying though! I know I'll get a good shot one of these days!
