Mr. Enigma!
Several months ago, some of you may remember me creating a thread regarding my nephew Craig. He is a 28 year old, hard working, father and he was diagnosed with Cancer. Sarcoma to be a little more specific. It was something they were treating with both Chemo and Radiation. He also had surgery to remove a tumor from his inner thigh that was about the size of a cantaloupe.
Fortunately, that part of his body is responding well to treatment. It is believed to be the area that the cancer began. Unfortunately, the five tumors in his lungs are getting worse. Recently, he has been having difficulty breathing and started coughing up blood.
He was rushed back to MGH (Mass Gen Hospital) where he saw the attending Oncologist. It turns out that the tumors in his lungs are growing and have increased in numbers. One of his lungs is in danger of collapse. They have now stopped focusing on treating the large tumor in his leg and now began treating the tumors in his lungs.
He is going through a serious bout of Chemotherapy and is currently hospitalized. He has also been told that this isn't good. It's stage 5 and all the doctors are doing at this point is trying to extend his life.
What is going to determine how this all goes, is how well his body and those tumors respond to treatment. If they start to shrink in the new few to three weeks, then his chances are good. If he doesn't respond well to treatment or it severely affects his body, then things aren't going to be good.
They have given him very little odds at this point. My family is very scare for him!
If you could please at some point tonight, think of him. If you feel comfortable, please say a prayer. He needs it!
Thank you all!
Wayne
