Agreed. But I think you and I come from a perspective of maximizing freedom for all adults, and so does Kathy. I take this seriously:
"An it harm none, do what thou wilt."
I figure it's not my business to judge harm for other presumably rational adults as long as they put no one else at risk of harm. So although I may try to talk someone out of drinking excessively, or smoking too much herb, as long as they stay where they are put while they are impaired, it's really not appropriate, or moral in my deities' eyes, to try to stop them by force.
And yeah, I am religious as anything, but my deities don't want me to jam what They tell me to do down anyone else's throat.
