Pandora, 2010 White-sided GBR

This girl comes from John at Colorado Corns and I couldn't be happier with her! She just shed the other day and since it was a gorgeous 80* out this morning it was perfect for a photoshoot.

Her amazing white sides

A close up! You can really see her pink tones in this shot. She has a lot of peachy tones and a little yellow is creeping in. Hopefully the yellow goes away!

Towards the end of the photoshoot, she decided she would try to escape! Their ability to hang on is amazing!

Thanks for looking! :D

She is looking great, I though they were just really great diffused but with those patches of white it looks like pied.
Keep her growing
John

I was thinking pied as well but I wasn't sure. They are solid white so I guess I shall call her a pied. I will prove her out in a couple years with my pied male, Marius. She has some huge spots of white on her!

I think you chose the PERFECT background for this photo shoot. The exposure is dead on, and I think it really highlights the white spots.

John, I've been seeing Pied this whole time, but doubting myself, because I trust your morph opinion over mine. My macro lens doesn't lie though!

Hope this isn't hijacking the thread, but here is a macro close up shot of one of Lyra's white suspect pied spots. Looks like Pandora has the same markings to me. There is DEFINITELY a difference between the very nicely diffused areas and the areas with no pigment.

I've been really slacking on my photo updates latley because I just moved and I'm still kind of getting situated, but Lyra shed pretty recently. I'll try to get some more updated shots of her so we can compare some more.

My vote is definitely for Pied!! ..or something!!

Anyway, thanks for sharing these photos. Pandora is looking amazing. It's so awesome to be able to see frequent updates of one of Lyra's siblings, especially with this mystery possible piedness going on. Lyra has had these spots the whole time I've had her. It's awesome to see it verified through pictures of your Pandora as well.

Lyra's getting a lot of pink/ peachy tones as well. I think it has something to do with how colorful her daddy was!

That is one pretty little snake. My snow had some glowing yellow stripes during his first year that just faded since his last shed. I didn't know that yellows faded like that.

I would love to see some updated pictures of Lyra! It would be great to compare the two but they seem to be following each other pretty closely. Pandora's last weigh-in was August 4th so shes due for an updated weight but she was 82g then.

Thanks for all the comments! I think this girl is special, not just in looks but in her attitude... shes a feisty one :)

Hey,

Looks pied to me! It seems to be popping up in more and more animals at the moment. Very cool too.

Congrats and great photos.

Cheers

She is definitely showing pied which makes me think Kiran will as well. She was picky at first but has finally started growing

Great looking animal!! I see some very nice pied areas.:cool: However I would refrain from calling it a white-sided.:)

She was sold to me by John as a white-sided, and I didnt want to title her pied just in case she actually wasn't. And of course now I cant change the title! But I pretty much think she is a PS. In 2013 she will probably be bred to my PS male.

You're a paid member, the title can be edited in the advanced settings.;) There was much discussion about the term whitesided a few years ago in the morph section after Michelle had coined some pied sided granites as W/S.

Tom, after something like 30 days, your posts cant be edited... there is not an edit button there anymore.

I think I remember that topic about white-sideds too. They were super high definition pieds from what I remember. I kinda like my girls splotchy look :D
