Do the snakes really even notice the color? I would think they would sense the smell/heat more than actually looking at the color.
Commonly the dark mice were/are used in the study of diabetes. The mice from this group tend to be higher in fat content. I've used them interchangeably with white and have seen no ill effects. Because people think their animal will refuse them based on color, they are usually cheaper. Food is food to my colony. lol
