So Peach is now Amaretto?

The kid is all about the swirls, while we are all about the colors..those crazy colors......and a body structure that does not remind one of a stuffed sock....

My point is you can only change a color so many times. A pattern mutation gives you a lot more room to make crazy combos.

Big deal. I'm glad you found the animals you like to work with, but to be honest, you're coming across like a used car salesman, who keeps pushing to impress someone a product that they've already stated they don't care for, trying to show them all the reasons they should like that product.

We all have our preferences, & some of us don't care about the high dollar animals we could have, or the money we could make, with "the next big thing". Some of us prefer to stick with animals that appeal to us, even if they're considered "low value" to some people, like yourself.

I have on motley in my collection the rest are "normal" patterns. Oh and okeetees which aren't morphs. I love the colors. I love corns, always have. My favorites are snows, butters and normals. So I guess you can say I am not big on that many morphs. With some of the ball python morphs they look sickly and unhealthy (not saying they are, just imo I wouldn't own half the morphs of bps) I do want an albino normal bp to complete our bp collection. Hubby wants a yellow belly. He is the ball python guy~

We recently got two leopard geckos which are color and pattern morphs. They are cute but not enough for me to collect a bunch. I haven't seen an AFT color or pattern morph that I like except for the normals. They just aren't my thing either.

Peoples preferences are just that their personal preference. Can't change what a person thinks or feels no matter what outrageous morph or pattern a certain species develops. Same with names of morphs or patterns.

So is it wrong to make money or have high end animals?

I never said that. Just quit shoving it in our faces. You've made it perfectly clear a number of times how you feel about the value of Corns vs the value of BP's. You constantly bring up how high dollar your projects are. We get it. Good for you.

Neither, and that is not what was said.

If you love an animal you love it.

I personally don't see the draw of AFT's, but I do see it in Ball pythons, there are a few BP's that I would love to get my hands on, they just happen to be the high dollar animals. You can bet your hind end that If I ever did get my hands on them, I would breed them to try and make some of that money back, to justify spending that much on them...LOL...

Well calling me a used car salesman gave me that impression...... Kinda rude.

David, since you want to make a living breeding and selling animals, there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to make a profit, or owning high end creatures.
Just don't become one of those people who know the price of everything, but the value of nothing.....

To most of us here at this forum, the value of a cornsnake is more than nearly anything....

You're quoting Aaron, but I'm the one that mentioned used car salesman.
Also, go back & read what I wrote, I did not call you a used car salesman.
Bold is what I said, followed by my reason, underlined.

So should I not say what they're worth? Should I just forgo that fact?

It's always about the animals. I was just telling my buddy Chris, If I wanted to make a lot of money, I wouldn't be selling reptiles. I love doing it, it's all I ever want to do. If I was all about dollar amounts I wouldn't still have my Asian Ratsnakes or Cat-Eyeds.

Is it because I'm trying to show you guys some of the other mutations in the industry that to me are really cool?

Honestly David, I think it is more of you seeming to try and push it on to people and arguing why they should like them even after they have stated several times they have no interest in them.

Ehh not always easy to feed. They're picky feeders
Is this brown?

Really? Huh... Could've fooled me. I've yet to see my guy EVER turn down food.

Is it because I'm trying to show you guys some of the other mutations in the industry that to me are really cool?

No, it's because you keep trying to show things that WE don't really care about, and that what you have is the only thing that could possibly be considered cool (at least, that's how your tone comes off). You've been in here bashing corns more than once, but gods forbid someone NOT like a BP or AFT!

Fat-Tails usually won't take mealworms, superworms, certain roaches, etc. Some are better than others.

I can see your point. I still love Corns! I need a Shatter!

Oh, I was talking about the Uroplatus being "picky". Lol. It's so funny to watch him change colors throughout the day. From almost black, to the color in the picture, to super light, it's just awesome! Do you also know what I like about the uroplatus? No morphs! :D

I am just expressing my experiences. Every one that we had come into our store started eating mealworms with no problem... Maybe we just got lucky? I don't know. I do not play with the AFT's, shoot, I thought that I liked Leo's, but recently got rid of mine (mainly because of me going away for the summer). I don't think I will be getting another leo either. Not that much a fan of cricket eaters anymore.
