1000 reasons that snakes are awesome

#100 Because they do not need to have to pend time outside of their cages, they prefer staying in :)

what do I get for posting #100 ? :p

SnakeAround, I love hearing that. My Upper Keys Rosy Rat would be happiest if we never ever took him out. He's sort of a scaredy snake. If he's out of his hide, hidden under the aspen and we open the viv, he hauls tail into his hide. If we catch him snooping around the screen looking for a way out, he recoils and tries to look innocent. He's a character. I sort of feel guilty for not getting him out, but I feel guilty for stressing him, and not taking him out, but part of me feels like he is happier. He's in a 29 gallon long, but I have the room on my dresser to get him a 33 gallon long (which is 48 inches long compared to this 30 inch long we have.............) and if he is going to spend a lot of time in his viv, I am going to invest in a bigger one (either homemade or not) for him.

My Kastanie female gets way stressed out when I take her out, also for diner. So I only do that when I can surprise her resting and grab her with a glove firmly before she gets a chance to take off. She actually is quite ok with it then, though still easily spooked. Sometimes I try to take her out anyway if she is active but that ends in me being musked and her stressed out, with her furniture rearranged.

Pairing was Lavender Het Charcoal,Diffusion,Stripe X Same.

So, I'm thinking the one on the left,Twilight,is a Lavender Charcoal Stripe (A First), the other perhaps is a Lavender Stripe....but the eyes arent like a normal lavender. So Perhaps it is also a Lavender Charcoal Stripe...But of a different sex. Dimorphism is common? with the lavender gene.
