Is that you're photo? I don't think you could get a shot like that without having it be a setup. There is no flash reflection, and the shutterspeed would have to be really fast to freeze the drinks like that...:shrugs:
 
And just from the perspective of walking into a door, seems the drinks would hit way before your face... If I were a gambling man, I'd put my wager on that one being one of those untrue things you'll see on the Internet.

I wish it was one of mine. I found it on a tumblr. While funny, I just can't believe it wasn't staged. Not that I haven't walked into glass doors, but still timing, how every is just perfect, etc. just seems staged.

Actually the gaping mouth is quite typical of the eyelash vipers and their kin-it's a normal defensive posture. I'm sure the popping of the balloon was unexpected and he was still openmouthed from the strike. The rush of air most likely through him off balance although in this case...he got a mouthfull of water....Hate dang balloons!
