If i'm gonna eat somebody
I keep reading posts about people buying snakes and immidiately sticking them with other snakes. Even snakes that refuse food. People who want to loan males or females for breeding etc.

Never i read anyone even commenting about quarantine. Over here it's common knowledge to keep your new snakes seperate untill your 'fairly' sure (You can never reallybe 100% sure) your new snake isn't sick/got sick during the travel.

When i aquire a new snake first i keep them on paper towel for at least 2 weeks and inspect for mites. I do a fecal for parasites and wait at least 6 weeks more. Then when the snake always eats, does not have any parasites and hasn't shown any form of illness only then i dare to put them in the same room as the rest of my snakes. Or even in the same viv. And even then i watch for signs of my old snake getting something from the new one the new one is resistet for something my old snake is not. When in doubt, the snake always goes to the vet for an examination. While in quarantine that snake is *always* the last one to get cared for. Then i take a shower and clean clothers before i get to the rest again.
 
I interpreted that statement by Double Het as referring to new people, not site members in general...

Steve is right; you were too lazy to read my views, so you have no right to criticize. And any more "big boy" or other name-calling out of you, and I'll just give you a long vacation from here. I doubt you'd be missed.

You might want to try harder next time. As I recall...I specifically pointed out my "quarrantine cage", of which you so adamantly disapproved not long ago.

You will definitely need to dig deeper in your well of eternal knowledge if you want to surprise the majority of us...especially from one who admits to co-habbing...:confused::uhoh::smash:

Unfortunately...I can't rep Dean, OR jazzgeek. I need to start spreading it around a little more. I'm too conservative with my repping powers...
