She's here! New ATB.

Introducing my newest ATB!

Had purchased this yearling female, and had been waiting for her, but the weather would not cooperate for shipping (she was further north). Thus, yesterday, my husband made the trip, to pick her up for me, and she had a safe trip back here.

She does have a wee bit of a shed issue but that will be fixed up (now & in time). Also, I was unaware, 'til she got here, but she does have a stub tail (missing the very end). Regardless, she's still beautiful and missing the tip/end, of her tail, will not pose her any problems.

In temperament, she's great! Alert, but a rather calm, and handleable, individual.:)

The following are some pics, that were quickly taken, before putting her away into her new home:

Congrats, she is absolutely gorgeous! Those two tongue shots are superb too! That's too bad about her tail-tip, but it doesn't effect her beauty. Looking forward to seeing more pics of her in the future.

Very nice!

Seems like a lot of corn keepers like ATBs - maybe it is the color and pattern variation in both? Glad to see so many fellow admirers of the species!

Beautiful new addition! I have to agree that ATB's are a very attractive species with the range of colors and patterns they exhibit.
Will definately look forward to seeing more pics of this gorgeous girl!

Thanks, everyone, for your great comments!:)

looks like shes got abit of an attitude too hehe ;)

Actually, for an ATB, she's pretty mellow in temperament. Also not prone to biting ... though I am sure she would bite (or "bump") under certain circumstances ... but have found her, on her first day here, to be rather tolerant/patient.

I did notice, though, that, (with certain poses aside), her head markings may not help as they (with the somewhat "v" shape) can give the illusion of her having an attitude.;)

Will she keep that bright color?

There is the possibility that she will undergo a bit more change, pattern wise, but she should maintain her body color.

I agree ... she's, still, a beautiful gal (and I can overlook that little "blemish").
Will post more photos, of her (and my other ATBs), from time to time.:)

You just may be right ... The color/pattern variation is, certainly, one thing that makes them appealing.
Along with that, I, myself, find them fascinating, admire their physical make up, love the look of intelligence they possess, etc... simply love them all the way around. :)

I need to get me some arboreal boids soon.

I agree!

Arboreal Boids are great.

Besides .... Even if for no other reason ... you got me into seriously discussing getting a pair of Corn Isle Boas, with my husband (yep, we discussed it further), Soooooo .... it would only be fair that you get some ATBs &/or something akin to them.:grin01: ;)

Will definately look forward to seeing more pics of this gorgeous girl!

Will do.:)

Can't wait for warmer weather, to return, so that I can get some outdoor photos too.

R u going to breed her?

Eventually. She still has a lot of growing/maturing, to do, first.

Oh, wow...she's stunning -- bien caliente! :) Her coloring is simply amazing...I've lately been using a lot of red chile pepper in my cooking, and she's got me thinking along those lines...;) And, I adore the 4th shot with the flippy-tongue; adorable! (The last photo, though, says to me, "Whatchu' want?!")

Congrats!

Thanks, Meg and Christina.:)

Hope she holds onto that red.

Hope so too. I believe she should.

:D You got me to thinking along the lines of chili peppers, salsa, etc., for a name.
However, decided to settle on the Portuguese name, "Iria", for this gal.:)

Hadn't thought of it but, you're right, it does look like that.:grin01:
