This is my pair of motley stripe lavenders who are going to sleep for a couple of months but I thought I would share before. These are 06's from Rich.

Not necessarily. Some folks will use the term Motley Stripe for snakes that have a stripy Motley pattern but do not carry the Stripe gene.
Also, Striped Motley (which is only a bit better) for the same thing.
Until/Unless there is a universal, and consistent, use of terms (which seems unlikely right now) ... questions will exist.

It's a little confusing the way the term striped motley is tossed around but according to Rich these two are het for stripe.

I like the female of this pair better, actually. I love her dark grey violetness. At least with a striped motley, you don't have the stripe vanishing off into nothing, if that's what you want. It'll be fun to see what these two produce!
