yet another fine example

Done! ( What the heck is Crystal...vodka? sounds like something Laverne from Laverne and Shirley ( old sitcom)would drink lol
I probably spelled it wrong, but it's basically a champaigne with little gold flakes in it. It runs for 1,000$ a bottle, and tastes delicious; with chocolate milk of course!!.

You go to better parties than me. Mine's only $1 at Sonic for 44 ounces if you go between 2 and 4 pm.....lol.

There's nothing wrong with idealism. That's a quality all leaders should possess. Otherwise how can they lead?.

There is a problem with idealism. Idealism works in a world without reality. We don't. We are stuck with this world. Ideally we would live in Obama's World.

Turned away, no!. Ill advised treatment, absolutely!. It's especially divided among cultural lines. Not sparking a new debate, but it is a factor!.!.

So you are saying that people that can't pay are not being turned away but just given bad advice? Especially if the fall into certain cultural lines. Can you possible back that up with any kind of factual documentation?

I don't think so. What businesses can and can't afford depends on revenue, and I doubt his legislation would turn all small-business owners bankrupt. On the contrary, I think it's a service they should provide, and I'm sure their will be tax cuts and programs so they can afford it more easily than they could in the past. Not to mention it will lead to a healthier work force, which in turn will increase productivity!.!.

Do you listen to yourself speak Ricky? You are so idealistically intoxicated that you don’t even make sense.

I am a small business owner. If you happen to read the papers right now you will find that an alarming number of small business owners are on the verge of bankruptcy. More than any time in history. This isn’t something I believe Ricky, this is a fact.

So you think I should just provide this for my people? Do you think I should also provide a salary for them, because that is the choice we will make. You want health care for free, great, work for free. Because we have hit the bottom of the bottomless well. There is no more money, I’m out of checks.

Oh yea, there will be tax cuts to offset the tax increases. What planet do you live on? When has that ever happened? How come my taxes go up every year?

As the owner, I put in more hours than any of my employees. I have more at stake than any of my employees. My family is more vulnerable to financial disaster than any of my employees. I make more money than any of my employees. When you take away that one factor, when you tax away my income, why do you think I should continue to go to work in the morning?

Well, their is always "under the table" pay. I still think employees deserve health-care, but if you literally can't afford it than I find it hard-pressed that you'll be forced to. As for "Do you listen to yourself speak Ricky? You are so idealistically intoxicated that you don’t even make sense.", all I can say is that an idea is different from reality, and nothing is set in stone. If health-care reform is so detrimental to your business, than petition, but a system where workers get health-care compensation is the epitome of "Ideal".

Wade, you left out, "Eric and KJ agree that they just want to be left the heck alone." Pay better attention next time. Otherwise, perfect synopsis....lol.
Thank you KJ, I'm glad you caught that. And sorry Wade missed it.
Otherwise, Wade, quite the humorous recapitulation.

I read the thread sweetheart. If you had read my post and the thread that would have been painfully obvious.
I took it with a grain of salt, as a meager means of fortifying the forum alliances once again. I thought it was another humorous display, and perhaps not the poetic brilliance you may have.
Your contribution has once again been made, haha, good times, move on. Cutting and pasting chronological responses would never recant the truth, it's already been spoken. I've said my peace on the matter, and have found delight in the resolve of the situation, so good day gents.

KJ thanks for the response, you make some good points. I wish the discussion was this on point throughout, but hopefully someone has gained a better understanding from it, because I sure have.

Eric, you are always quite fair minded, and added to the discussion in a way I need learn from.

Forked Tongue, I would love a Hershey's strawberry milk, stirred not shaken.

The problem with being too smart to learn anything is that you rarely learn anything. You have been beating the "fortifying forum alliances" drum ever since I met you Michael but you are the only person who has ever mentioned it. Maybe it's just a way for you to lash out, you know, argue with the big guy when you don't have an argument to offer.

If you are going to criticize my comments made 4 hours ago for not being "chronologically" pertinent, maybe you could make a comment about something I have said in the last four hours. Gotta keep up Mikey.

My problem was that you too jumped on the bandwagon, but seeing you had nothing else to offer on this thread, your main goal was specifically to antagonize. So that makes you a hypocrite, because I at least tried to explain myself, and in this whole thread NEVER name called, or disrespected anybody.

Someone makes a comment, on any topic, doesn’t matter.

Ricky and Michael find it offensive.
If you're referring to the original post, I never publicly said, or felt offended. Yes the Milking the System comment offended me, shouldn't surprise you!

KJ defends his constitutional rights. Asks Ricky and Michael question.
As he should defend his constitutional rights, I never questioned KJUN on that.

Ricky and Michael ignore question.
Where did I ignore the question? I thought I answered this many times, and what name one question here directed at me that I have not answered.

Robbie asks Ricky and Michael to answer KJ’s question.
Yes, the art of ganging up, and seeing KJUN and I personally were in discussion, other people should butt out.

Ricky and Michael defend Obama’s plan.
Maybe Ricky did, and that is his constitutional right. But I did not, so let's start being respectful and responding to us as separate people.

Robbie wants a job and needs money.
Okay, that's fine, I hope he does get his lucrative dream job.

Ricky and Michael say he doesn’t understand what it means to need money like a black man.
When was race ever brought up, and again the Ricky and Michael thing is getting VERY old. Respond to us separately, otherwise don't expect a kind answer to any of your questions.

Eric defends gay rights.
He spoke on gay rights, defending would mean that they were under attack, which was never the case. And more than gay rights, it is equal rights.

Ricky and Michael feel his pain as only a white black man could.
Find my post about this, I am very curious. You are the only one to bring up race here, again it is very contradictory.

We debate weather Ricky and Michael are really one person. (I think they are an ingeniously designed tag team)
No debate, we are certainly different people. No tag team either, I share my opinions, and he shares his. Sometimes we just so happen to agree, but we differ in opinions on many things, that's life.

Ricky and Michael defend their right to be two people.
Of course, it isn't a right to be two people, it is actually genetic.

KJ defends his constitutional rights.
Great, I absolutely respect that, and would never want his rights infringed upon.

Cornsnake 124 makes grandiose statement.
Sure!

Forkedtung demands documentation.

Robbie asks Ricky and Michael to answer KJ’s question.
What was KJUN's unanswered questions towards me, I was quite upfront the entire thread.

Deano reminds us to play nice
Yes, reminds EVERYONE!

Everyone ignores him.
Actually it was well received until you posted!

Deano locks thread.
Not yet!

Ricky and Michael, I'm am so happy to see that you finally read the post I made 6 1/2 hours ago. Unfortunately you missed the first paragraph where I said that it was a syllabus for the next debate. It was not in reference to this one.

Recent article....

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090803/ap_on_go_pr_wh/us_economy

"Two of President Barack Obama's economic heavyweights said middle-class taxes might have to go up to pare budget deficits or to pay for the proposed overhaul of the nation's health care system."

Middle class taxes going up to pay for health care for people who often are not middle class. Fantastic.

Maybe by the time they are done sucking me dry of what little money I do earn, I'll still have enough left to afford a plane ticket to another country.

*sigh* All day long during the summer, I inspect children's summer camps in some VERY poor areas of Baltimore city. The houses are falling down, there are dealers on every corner and people of all ages simply sit around on house steps all day. But every single house has a Direct TV dish and a really nice car sitting in front.

I need to just quit my three jobs, stop paying my bills (or trying to, at least) and let the government support me too.

Wow!

This was posted on another board I visit. I only read the first page, and have not checked it for sources or accuracy, so take it at face value.

http://www.defendyourhealthcare.us/

The most scary quote was from an actual doctor, related to one of the Presidential cabinet members, who said,

Emanuel, however, believes that "communitarianism" should guide decisions on who gets care. He says medical care should be reserved for the non-disabled, not given to those "who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens . . . An obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia" (Hastings Center Report, Nov.-Dec. '96).

So those of us who are disabled and won't be able to be "functioning" members of society really should not support some of this, apparently. Y'all would be cut off! :eek1:

 WOW. Now THAT'S just scary!

(Can someone rep her for me? I'm all out...)

I got her Robbie.

The thing that is scary is that somebody is going to make those decisions for you. Maybe they won’t like the color of your hair or the state your parents were born in. It will make sense to them, maybe not you and I.
