Speckled King X Corn

Outcast

ATPSS
i was wondering if anyone has seen this breeding before, and if you could direct me to some pictures of what the babies look like. i think it would be an interesting mix.
thank you

Well I must say speck kings are awesome. I have them were I live. But i dont think that it would be a good looking combo. I wouldnt go as far as ruin. Im not against hybrids also think that some are awesome looking snakes

i wish i could find a speckled king for sale out where i live for a good price, i love the breed. ever since i was a little kid and caught many in louisiana where i used to live.

I want to say that Jeff Mohr (MohrSnakes) had some (but don't quote me on that), even had them for sale, so you can run a search to see if you can find photos.

Both corns and speckled kings are nice looking snakes, and even if they were butt ugly I would consider mixing them ruining both species.
If someone had a champion cocker spaniel, and it accidently bred with some other mutt, it would be considered "ruined" by it's owner. And dogs are the same species!! Kingsnakes and cornsnakes are not.
I am a purist, I hate hybrids.
Especially hybrids that look pure.

Just because you "can" create hybrids, doesn't mean you "should".

LOL :roflmao: LOL :roflmao:

Is that how you truly feel Beth!! I mean....don't hold back or anything. LOL

ROFL! I was thinking the same thing. The beauty of Beth, you never have to wonder what she's thinking! ;) xo

Yeah, it is. I just for the life of me can't understand why anyone would want to create monsterous mutts. I mean, they are not like mules, that are hybridized for a purpose. These animals are worthless.... And when you have to trick a king, that would ordinarily EAT the corn instead of mating with it...it's just wrong.....

i should have known what i was getting myself into when i asked this question.ive just seen alot of other hybrids out there and was wondering what this one would look like. there are many beautiful hybrids out there, at least alot that i have seen. and i understand the feeling towards hybrids.

Well to each there own but not sucking up to Beth but I agree 100% with her statement here. It's just not my thing.

Hell I don't think I'll own anything else but corns....

If you look at it that way, all snakes in the pet trade are worthless. They don't have a higher purpose in our daily lives. They aren't pulling carts, leading the blind or catching vermin in an agricultural sense.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I want my hybrids to look like neither parent species, but a good blend of physical attributes.

To each his or her own. If you don't like 'em, don't own 'em.
