How About Some Abstract Macros?**DUW**

I'm not happy. I haven't been out for a day of shooting in a very long time. I've gone hiking, herping, put up a fence, and played with the dogs and kids...but I haven't gone out for a day dedicated to photography. To top it off, I have missed at least a dozen incredible sunsets over the last month due to family obligations.

But I won't complain. Who would have ever dreamed that a water faucet and fish tank could be so darn photogenic?

These are really my first forray into abstract photography. It's quite fun taking the shots, and even processing them to find a composition that "works". At least it's keeping me sane until I can get out to shoot some "real" pictures soon...

Thanks for looking!

Abstract is one aspect I have not delved into yet myself. I think if this is your first attempt you really nailed it. Great clarity and focus, awesome colors. It looks to me like whatever aspect of photography you attempt Chris you will always do well!

Thanks, everyone, fopr the comments! I must say I was quite happy with the results, though admittedly, I shot over 300 pictures in order to whittle it down to these few.

I will leave one more, though. I really like this one, myself. I'm half-tempted to print it and frame it...

It's a toss up between this one and the last one above as a favorite for me.. Maybe y'all can help me decide...

Those are all amazing photos, but for me it's got to be the last one in post #10! I would definitely have to print and frame that one, without a doubt!!!

This one is wayyyyyyyyyyy cooler. Way. How did you do it?

Slow drip from the faucet, orange bottle of dish soap behind the drip, fast shutterspeed. I used my hot shoe flash, plus had backlighting from the window...

Thanks everyone for the comments!

Okay... I have 2 walls that those would look great on... beautiful job! I love abstract photography. My votes are for #4 #5 and #2 in that order...At least that is what I would frame and hang
