Found my missing snake!

I had a caramel motley female go missing from a tub and had been missing for a week and because it is really getting cold here I had just about given up finding her again. I have gotten up every night to look for the past week and put out heat pads, tape and so on, and even cleaned the house thoroughly and had no luck. The worst thing was this snake was part of a group I had listed for sale and I had to delete the ad when I realized she was AWOL.
My cat Little Shadow woke me up early this AM by jumping on me, meowed, ran over to the corner (where I had a box of old vinyl albums) and sat there staring into the box. Sure enough there was Bertha!
This isn't the first time Shadow has showed me where an escapee was hiding and she has never hurt one. I really think she remembers what a big fuss I made over her the last time. I have the world's best Kitty!

Bertha must have found out about the ad and didn't want to go so she ran away. But then she found out there were no free-range mice in your house and was making her way home for a meal!

I really think these things happen for a reason and maybe I was meant to keep the group. Since I don't need the money right this minute I will not be relisting, and she is safe for a while.

Great story Jen.
Keep that cat around, it just saved you time and money.
But what are vinyl albums ?????:sidestep:

Ugh, I cant imagine if my snake escaped. She would be eaten up by the two inside dogs that we have in the house. We have a beagle mix that would eat anything that looks like food. The other dog, well, it would probably bark at it and then try to 'play' with it.

Can I borrow your cat if my snake escapes?

Congratulations on recovering Bertha. You're right, you've got the world's best kitty. I hope Shadow got a nice treat for her efforts!
