Dingo Arrives!! 2008 Colorado Corns Opal Bloodred

Nanci

Alien Lover
I think my heart stopped when I opened the box and this snake was on top. "I didn't order anything purple!!" Quick look at the other deli cup, that is Draco the lavender bloodred, so this has to be Dingo the opal blood! (2008, Colorado Corns aka John Finsterwald aka Zorro).

If you look at Zorro's For Sale ad, you'll see a very pale pink snake, with Dreamsicle orange spots. Very pretty! But what came out of the box was not pink. OMG no!! Dingo, in real light, is the lightest thistle purple, with orange spots. Purple!! I love purple!!! I've seen one other opal blood, too, and he really _did_ look like the picture. I was NOT expecting something like this! And I really can't capture his perfection with the camera, although the indoor photos came the closest.

Now The Dingo is a nice 18.5 gram 2008- big enough to handle comfortably. He's a total sweetheart, too! We went outside for a little photo shoot, so I would have pictures to tide me over after he went into his week-long relaxation period. In all these outdoor photos, even the shaded ones, his color is all but washed away.

First, a new look, The Autumn Leaf:

All these pictures reflect what I _thought_ he would look like, not what he _does_ look like. I can't wait till he's settled in and I can get him out in morning light!

Last pic. I love this plant! So do the mockingbirds. Too bad it's almost done for the fall. Thanks for looking! Thank you, Zorro, for the two gorgeous babies!!!
