1.2 Hondos - why I hate herp shows!

That Male. He has no black tipping that I can see. He might be a hypo? From what I have seen in Hondo's No black tipping is a good sign of Hypo.
 
Ohh man, I was sooo tempted by Hondos quite a FEW times by one particular guy who was at all our Portland / Eugene shows. I'm guessing he's not the breeder though, cause I'm fairly positive he had a Ghost... as well as Pied Side Hondos!
His "priced to sell" was my "spend a fortune" though.

Beautiful new additions! If Hypo's running around in that strain you could end up with some cool hatchlings. I'll do a little "Hypo Vanishing" dance for ya!

PS: Dang, I wish I would have known there was a show this weekend.
 
All excellent Hondos there.

It's a species which has taken a 'knock back' in recent years, however, they remain a firm favourite in our Collection.

Nice Hondo Arjan............just sold our '08 Tricolour Albino male (darn it), more hatchlings for the 2009 season though. :D

I think his black would be much grayer. (Not like I'm an expert). I've read that black tipping is more intense in females. I have also read (and of course can't find the reference now) that the two normal colors, tri and tangerine, has to do with range.
 
Jessica, you really did not miss much, Other than scoring these Milk snakes I thought it was a pretty dissapointing show this time. Low turnout. I usually put a post up about them but I was not going to be vending at this show and not even sure if I was even going or not. It was at the Red Lion again like every March.

The male was sold to me as het for hypo, but I think Nanci is right, from googling hypo hondo images the black in hypos looks more of a greyish hue.
I am not sure if the tangerine is a seperate morph or a selectively bred thing, but I really like the look of it...

All three have had their first mouse meal with me (one adult mouse apiece seemed small, these guys look big enough to eat an adult ASF... but I wanted their first feeding to be a small one) and all went well.
They still need names! Any suggestions?
