2009 Boa progression thread(pic heavy)

Kokopelli

Resident Boa Fanatic
Hey all,

Those of you who are tired of my pictures... well... tough. Don't enter my threads :duck:

Since it seems like I find many occasions to celebrate and photo these guys I'll just stick all the pics in here.

I have also noticed that the way I grew my beard and mustache vaguely resembles that of a Boa(unintentionally)... I think it says one of two things: I am either destined to keep Boas, or... I spend -way- too much time with them... the latter being more likely.

But enough of the Blah blah... here they are:

Maple, HoggXColombian het Albino male:

And Ivy, HoggXColombian het albino female:

I think the Hogg Isle in'em is very visible even though it's kind of diluted as the Sire was bred to a pure Colombian(as far as we know) Albino...

And now for the DH

Lotus, Salmon HoggXColombian het albino female:

And Venus, HoggXColombian het albino female:

And the one whom I consider the most "problematic" (as in it's a real problem to stop staring at him in the morning to go to work)

Phoenix, HoggXColombian het albino male:

Now seriously, I really think the beard is amusingly similar... not identical but... kinda funny.

(if you didn't guess, I am the second to the left-your left)

aw, I don't get tired of your boa threads. I look forward to seeing these guys get older, and the salmons are amazing!

I will start with a couple of angry pics from Lotus... She is a true baby doll and wouldn't -dream- of biting usually... but when she eats, she becomes a totally different snake.

Here is her showing exactly what has in store for someone who messes with a female Boa Constrictor:

Well as I keep telling people, the effects of a shed in boas only bloom a few days after the actual shed... I keep telling myself that as well but I can't help but be surprised over and over again.

I took Phoenix out for some photos... there are a whole lot of them so be warned.
He is actually in "dark phase" in these pics but... I have never seen a BCI looking this clean and beautiful even in it's less complementing phase:

Alon saw him a couple of days ago too... he tends to sigh painfully when seeing him. He truly turned out to be the best looking offspring in his litter.

I love those circles on his back. I don't believe I've ever seen anything like that before! Not very many people take pics of their boa out for a walk. Nice pics, Oren!!!

Oren, what did you do to Lotus!!??? She looks TICKED!!! Beautiful, but one angry mama!!! LOL.

As for Phoenix... He is gorgeous!!! I still have a hard time trying to figure out how big he is. He looks HUGE on the ground by himself, but in your hands, he looks small again. LOL. I have no idea! :) Beautiful boy!

he is roughly 1.5 feet long... still young and comparatively tiny.
I guess if you would compare him to a corn of the same age, he would be considered a Goliath but... he is good sized age-wise. He eats an adult mouse once a week-10 days.

Thanks for the comments people :)
