The Ice Queen
So, I was walking around in Walmart and I noticed they had bags of candy corn for a $1 so I decided to get a couple and take pictures of the snakes on them! Today I finally got around to doing it...

Here is Reverend. My Amel Motley I got from Rick (who has now eaten for me twice!! He likes Live) that is one of my favorite snakes! I immediately had him in mind when I got the candy corn.

He was kind of intimidated by the whole thing, but he handled it well over all. I'm just happy he's been eating for me. Seems he likes his meals a bit squirmy. :laugh:
 
Ice & Candy Corn

Here's Ike (Klondike) on the Candy Corn. He's such a good poser... I think he knows how good looking he is.

At this point I took him out and was holding him. Well he decided he wanted to go back into the bowl of candy... so I let him and he proceeded to try burrowing in it!

Ike is such a character. He reminds me of a court jester. :p

Here's Heidi! She's my Anery Lavender Bloodred from Carol. She's such a little sweetie!

Her colors came out a touch darker in these, but she's still really adorable IMHO.
 
Blue Motleys & Candy Corn

Joy! She is an Anery Dilute Motley, also very sweet. She's a bit skittish when you first take her out, but she calms down quite a bit after a few seconds of being in your hands. I'm quite fond of her.

The other female I had was found dead today. :( She was the one I didn't think was doing too well. The male I have is getting pretty thin, too. I'm gonna have my friend help me force feed them in a few days if they don't eat what I offered today. Hopefully I can get these guys going, I still have faith in them.

lol, I have a sick sense of humor.. wouldn't it be funny to hold out the candy cor bowl for trick or treaters, and just as they're about to grab a handful, out pops a corn?!

LOL Jessica. I think it'd be really fun. I'd just be afraid of someone hurting my cornsnake.

Yea, I probably wouldn't actaully do that.. you never know how kids will react!! It'd be cool to have ..hrm... a robotic cobra pop out though!

LOL yes... a robotic cobra would be sweet... Though with some kids they'd either be frightened away (and never come back) or think you're the coolest person ever. :p

There's nothing wrong with sick humor... :grin01:
 
Pretty cool idea taking pics of the snakes in the Candy Corn. :D Great collection you have started there.
 
Thanks Dave. :) Though I surpassed my limit of "only six snakes". I think my husband realized he can't put so small a number on it anymore. :p I did promise that once I got these non-feeders established that I'd re-home some of them.

Speaking of Ike being a character... I had a friend come over two days after he'd eaten and I'd been dying to show him off to her. Well, I took him out and was holding him, talking to her about snakes and I did mention he'd eaten a few days prior and that he might relieve himself...... She decided she wanted to hold him regardless and not more than a minute was he in her hands that he left her a nice gift. I told her she should feel honored, we had a good chuckle over it. :grin01:
 
BTW, I logged onto ReptileGeeks for the first time in two years, and sent you a friend request.

Maybe I'll actually add my collection this time.. :sobstory:
