• Hello!

Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.

Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....

Please be certain that the location field is correctly filled out when you register. All registrations that appear to be bogus will be rejected. Which means that if your location field does NOT match the actual location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected.

Sorry about the strictness of this requirement, but it is necessary to block spammers and scammers at the door as much as possible.

American Cornsnake Registry

well, I do not because of time, and cost. I do not have the time to register my adults and the babies, I am super busy as it is and I just do not have the time to do it.

I have not done mine yet, mostly because I do not feel mine warrant it. The two corns that I have at the moment will be used for my hybrid projects, while any/all of my future corns will most likely be registered because I will be breeding just corns with them.
My end goal is to have a hybrid breeding room with incubator and my "pure" stock breeding room with incubator. That way they will not be mixed up with each other, and I will not make any mistakes in labeling babies accordingly.

This is a great thread! I was wondering about registering my snakes. This answered a lot of questions I had.

Dave, you pay for an annual membership, $60, and register as many as you want! And you can do it all on line now.

This is exactly what I did and will continue to do in the future. Doing this saves a bundle! It's easy and for those saying it takes too much time... I did all of mine in the course of a couple hours. Once you get your log in information and can do it online there's not a whole lot of information you have to input.

Hmm I might register my offspring as well, just to be sure it gets done. I agree with what Nanci said about having all that information there for those who might want it. :)

It looks like you need to register at least 5 at once for the $60 a year thing. To make it worth it I guess you'd need to be registering 12 a year, unless you have snakes from parents that aren't registered.

By the way, EM. My breeders are registered so you can register the babies from me for cheap, only $5 each. (Of course that doesn't matter if you are doing the $60 thing.)

Yep Dave. I got Gimli all set up with ACR and his parents are showing. :) His ACR number is: 7661

For me it was really worth it. I probably wouldn't have been able to afford to get mine registered otherwise.

Dave, I accidentally registered one or two at a time a few times before I read that- Chuck never said anything.

Cool gonna go look. I think you are the first to register one of my babies. :D

Ahh ok.

I did it. one for my personal record keeping purposes, and because it is possible to get more value out of a sale if the people really care if the snakes are ACR certified.

Welcome to the ACR.

You are obviously a breeder that cares, like me. It is not wrong to care about issues such as Stargazing and permanently recording the ancestry of your breeding stock.

I think it can be a valuable sales aid. And Like Joe Pierce said, when you keep animals who have historically had questions in regards to their backgrounds, such as Ultra's or my "Tequila Sunrise" line snakes, being able to produce records of parentage, siblings, breeding results etc can be a big plus for potential customers, who may or may not care about such things...
