Awesome homemade viv!

A buddy of mine in Norway (where snakes are illegal to house as pets because Norwegians are scared of snakes... suckers) got a boa constrictor a few years back (yes, illegally). So my buddy built a nice viv, 2 meters high, with his very own work of graffiti art as a background. Check it out..

If snakes get sick where it's illegal to keep them, doesn't that mean you can't get veterinary treatment?

Most vets won't sell you out, in my experience.

Pretty much true, I have actually asked my local (so called) reptile vet about that and she told me they do not turn anyone in with an illegal lizard, bird, snake, as long as they are not venomious. BUT, if the authorities came in and asked, they have to tell who does have that particular animal. They will just turn in everyone. Good thing I suppose, to a point. They feel if you care enough to get proper care, and believe me they ask a ton of questions, than they have no reason to say anything. They see more than just illegal snakes too.

That viv is awesome. I would want one for my big girl or my Argie.

yep, there is one local reptile-enthusiast vet who is (was?) fighting that - the MOE wanted to make it mandatory for vets to report anyone seeking treatment for an illegal/unregistered animal and he wasn't so keen on that idea. I'm sure most wouldn't be.
