Caramel Lavender

Umm, I'm doing and inventory of all my animals (finally!), and was surprised to find that I have at least a half dozen adult Hypo Lavender Ambers (for want of a better name). Rather interesting looking critters. But of course I am only guessing that is what they are. Proving it would be another matter entirely.

Yeah, I know........ PICTURES!!!! :duck:

Hey Rich, it's Amberders. :)

Actually Carol wouldn't it be HyAmberders? lol

Nope, cause the "Amber" part already includes the Hypo. Ya, I've thought it out. Reminds me of the Pink Panther movie every time. Damberger!

Hey don't laugh, if "Snopal" can make it.... :duck:J/K

Yep, forgot about that!:duck: Snopal sounds like a peanuts character...

I like how Rich Z kinda off the cuff drops "while going thru...blahblahblah...was surprised...blahblahblah...at least 6hypo lavender ambers I found I had..."...."surprised" lol...thats when you know you just have too many...

I think I might have me 5 or six of that males offspring from the year before Tom.. All of them look like Caramels and possible ambers.. Beats me..

Unfortuantly from another clutch with the adult male Tom had, this guy came out, and due to some heat circumstances we lost him.. He had a bad kink right out of the egg..

Sort of made me cranky to have lost a chance to get some kick butt progressions of him.. My best guess, he might have been a lavender charcoal..

I have another group that is 100% het hypo, caramel and lavender not related to the above.. Not sure when they will be bred but time will tell..

Regards.. Tim of T and J

Tim,
Thanks for posting the photos! I have a few from my clutch that resemble the one you lost. I'll try to get some new pics. There are some older pics in my album.
It'll be exciting to see what you get from breeding your unrelated group. Any plans to cross any to the other group?:shrugs:

Hypo Amber Lavender

I like Lambers it kinda rolls off the tongue nicely
I might produce some Hypo Amber Lavender Motleys this year, that should be a fun project. The funny thing is, the projects that seem not very interesting to me usually makes the coolest looking animals! Like the Crimson Lavenders,I thought I was going to wholeasale them all off until the eggs started hatching!

Hey Rich, about your adult hypo lavender ambers, are you planning on breeding them this year?

Regards//Kim H, Sweden

Probably. But it depends. Last year I just ran out of steam and time to breed all the eligible pairs. This year may be worse because of extenuating circumstances......

I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row for this season, but those little rascals are running all over the place and won't line up for me....

Carol, I had planned on testing him to a charcoal. Unfortunately that didn't happen. He never went back on feed after breeding last year and passed away :( I still have most of his kids.

BTW Yours is amazing! Imho it's what the peach may look like if it was hypo. :shrugs:

Here is a photo of Rich Humes peach as an adult.Imho It looks as though it is expressing both lavender & caramel.

I have to agree with you - it looks like its expressing lavender and caramel. Not that I know much about corn genetics yet
But I did want to say, that is one beautiful snake.

Okay, sounds good Rich!
Of course, I am more than willing to buy one of your adult pairs as well! I have one or two snakes from you here already, through Patrick Doran. Great snakes!

Here are some pics from tonight.
