Cayenne Fire Pair

zorro

Old Guy
When I got these back I almost didn't want to sell them but need to.
This is a pair of 09 Cayenne fires ( the male is in shed so I just piced the female.)
These are from Don's (SMR) cayenne fire line.
They are $500.00 shipped.
Thanks
John

What is a Cayenne fire? How is it different from a run-of-the-mill fire

Long answer: They are a special selectively bred line of REALLY red & diffused bloodreds. Most breeders have a handful of breeder corns, Don (SMR) has a whole building full of adult breeders- He has many bloodreds (many holdbacks from the best fo the best over multiple generations)- you can only imagine the quality...he has a handful of intense Red Red Red animals that's being referred to as Cayenne's.

Short answer: High quality selectively bred bloodreds

Hope that helps.

Graham

BTW John, those are smokin'...should be show stoppers as adults.

Well considering how bright they are and since they are selectively bred, are the selectively bred Amel Bloodreds? Or just Bloodreds. The name Cayenne Fire would be confusing if they are not Amel Bloodreds selectively bred.

I hope that made sense. Lol

I have several snakes from the SMR Cayenne Line. (Fires and Ultramel bloodreds, to be precise.)
From John and from Don. Some of my favorite snakes. Seriously.

And John and Don couldn't be two kinder, more reasonable men to deal with. Not to mention VIP's in the business.

I assume "Cayenne" is just the line name, so a Cayenne Fire would be an Amel Bloodred...maybe?

A "Cayenne Line" amel bloodred.

But I understand what Trent is asking, and John will have to answer it. If there is such a thing as a (simple) Cayenne Line bloodred.
It is my understanding that a fire (amel bloodred) is bred to ideally be dorsally patternless, no black, no white, and maximally red, or at least more nearly red than the traditional/conventional brownish-oranges.
And the Cayenne Line is a line (small "L"), if I remember correctly, striving to accomplish a red, patternless snake, which "amel" would certainly facilitate.

Have you ever looked at the color of cayenne pepper?

In other words, John will be back.

My understanding is that a Cayenne Fire is a Fire with what Don calls "Red Factor" or "Red Mask".

Todd:cheers:

LOL I am sure they will. Don't worry about it. I have been guilty of doing the same thing before.

Oops, I am so sorry. I forgot this was a "for sale" thread, and did not mean to bump it up like that.

I just saw some nice things said in my absence and wanted to reply.

So sorry. Carry on.
