Christmas in the Everglades

Buzzard

two corny
Well after taking the muckins back to there mom on christmas day. My new wife asked me if I would like to do something different. I said ok. We then went through the whole debate thing, (you know the...well what do you wanna do, I dont know what do you wanna do...ect) So finally we decided to go to Sanibell island near Ft meyers Florida(the Ding Darling nature perserve)(oh and we made fun of the name the whole day, ref the ping pong in ding dang saying from the movie Beer Fest). So this was my first christmas night not staying home or with family.

So we woke up on Wed. morning about 630 and headed out to the park...It was awesome , We saw birds, 3 otters, and an alligator. So after about 2 hours of dealing with biting insects and BIRDS, I asked her if she minded if we went just a litle further south to the everglades to see what we could find. To my amazment she said yes. andhere is what we found

What a great way to spend the holiday! And you are so lucky - you got to see otters! I have lived here 8yrs and have yet to see one in the wild.

<--- Jealous!!! I am in Iowa right now and its about 30 lol. Awesome pics and awesome finds :) I really want to see some alligators in the wild this spring as well as some rattlers :)

Great pics...

Those are some beautiful pics... I live in Florida as well and there is a place I go fishing with my family. I live in Titusville, FL near Haulover or however you spell it lol... its past Playalinda Beach and there are a few otters there every time we go. The first and only time I've ever seen any otters in my whole life. I love fishing there because we run into otters, raccoons that get into our bate every time (which don't mind a bit lol) with there cute little babies behind them lol, bald eagles and some awesome fishing there as well. I love the wild life that we get to see every time we go.

Take care and keep the pics coming I love them...

Lil. :)
