Cinder "detail" shots ... now and then

Snakes in designer genes
First of all, just a reminder of what my wee Damascus looked like back in July 2007 when he arrived here, six grams of the oddest looking grey snake I'd ever seen.

And now, almost two and a half years later, he certainly can't be described as a "grey snake" anymore. The only thing still recognisable from his hatchling self are those big black eyes.

Next year will be his first year breeding - I've still not decided what, if anything, we're going to mate him to, but there are a few potential ladies waiting in the wings for him :)

Stunning! There really is nothing like an adult cinder with lots of color! And wonderful shots of the side and belly! The uniqueness and sheer beauty of the color pattern on each individual scale, and then how they all blend together as a whole has got to be THE best thing about corn snakes!

I swear, if I don't own a Cinder at some point before I die (preferably Hypo), I think my life would have been a waste! (Only, jk!) STILL, I really love the way Cinders look. Your boy is so gorgeous and I'm infinitely jealous! :}

Thanks guys :) Next time he's not being hyperactive I will try at a full body shot. He's not the easiest snake to take a decent photo of.

Stunning Toyah,

It is amazing how the cinders change from hatchling to adult. There seems to be such a massive variation between them.

Your guy is lovely. I'll fourth the call for a full snake shot ;)
