I have been dying to go to Daytona for YEARS and I can never seem to get it together, but this is the year. I'm going regardless of life's little intervening events; like my son starts school that week or everyone who said they would go with me backs out! If I have to, I'm going solo. With that said, I was wondering if anybody here plans on going this year and, if so, would you like to get a group together for dinner and snake talk? I want to totally saturate the weekend in repticulture. Hopefully enough to tide me over for the rest of the year when I am surrounded by people who don't really want to hear anything about snakes, period! lol

I know there are quite a few of us already with plans to go to the show, hotels rooms booked already, and in the early stages of organizing another cornsnake dinner as we have done the past two years.
Keep an eye out - I am sure updates will start occuring as we get closer to the dates!

Unless something unforeseen happens, we will be there. I had to go by myself in 2005, but my husband will be going with me this year. Our older dog is in the early stage of renal failure, but is doing very well so far. If the vet determines that she is stable in August, we will be going.

I'll be there. I live in Orlando so I'll be commuting. I'd be down for dinner/lunch with everyone.

All I bought last year was Isabel. I was "just looking" at Cherryheads, but decided I didn't want to buy tortoises unless I had an outdoor enclosure already built. Isabel was a sort of impulse buy- I'd been reading about care requirements and had an empty viv and lights, but no books or anything.
 
Nothing short of a category 5 hurricane heading straight for my home that week-end can keep me away from Daytona. It is my one personal little birthday vacation that I look forward to the entire year.

I guess I will have to miss the Dog Agility Trial :uhoh:

I will plan on going at least one day, missed out last year.
 
When's the show? In August?
I could ask my mom if we can go as my birthday present (although my b-day is in July). I've told her I want to go, and we might unless we move to Canada, or California, or somewhere else... :shrugs:
