Hi Nanci,

Zoo Med would be happy to match all your auction proceeds and T-shirt sales
proceeds from your 2010 Cornsanke Supper Club fundraiser for USARK. I will
copy our European manager on this email so he can get the word out to clubs
in Europe as well as there are many big corn snake hobbyist in Europe that
may want to come to this.

All the best,

Nanci - do you want to ask him if they will also donate a prize like they did last year? I haven't heard back from the guy Andrew has me email at all.

Last year they let me take a whole bagful of prizes. Some of the little things went for door prizes, and the biggest ones went into the raffle. They will probably do the same again this year if we ask. Just remind them what they did last year, and ask if they will do it again.

Gary did email me back and said to stop by their booth and they will make a donation for the raffle.

Well, now Keith Morris - the National Sales Manager for Zoo Med finally wrote back. After both Gary and Andrew advised that the match for anything we raised would not be a problem - Keith is now advising he is going to have to check with the owner of Zoo Med - since the NRBE auction is already for USARK....

LOVELY!!!

That would look pretty bad if Keith took it back- since Gary already said yes and it's posted all over FaceBook, here and another cornsnake forum...

I am donating 2 cornsnake dinner t-shirts to the raffle, both basic black, 1 L & 1 XL. I hope this helps.

Anyone staying at the Hilton that is going to the dinner that would be willing to take on a couple of passengers?

15 shirts have been sold so far. SO- for next year- how do you guys feel about the price? Should we leave it as is, with $2 for each shirt to go to USARK, or should we raise it to make a more substantial donation? $3?? $5?? Opinions anyone??

They don't issue a check till you have $25 in commissions, so I'll probably have to just write a check and get paid later. Hopefully, I can use the same shops next year, just change the design. They can't all be in one because then I have to pay a monthly fee.

If there are shirts being sold for $2.00 I would like to purchase one! How do I go about doing that? Or are they only going to be sold at Daytona? Let me know :)

I believe $2 is the portion of the sale that will be donated to US ARK, not the t shirt cost. But I have too many shirts already, so I haven't been following it too closely.

The $2.00 is the profit over the normal sale price of the tshirts. That profit is going directly to USARK. I think the cheapest tshirt on the site is $16.99 or something like that. Nanci has a thread about it. I will try to find it and post it here again if she doesn't beat me to it.

Here is the link to the tshirt thread:

Khaman - in regards to someone coming from the Hilton - I believe Rich Hume is staying there - not sure who else but I know there will be others. Best bet might be to hitch a ride over to the Homewood from the show itself as plenty of people will be going there directly from the show - and then catching a ride back to the Hilton with someone staying there. We can always make an announcment at the raffle to see who is so that you can figure out who to hook up with.

Okay..I have a bit of a list of questions..I'm sorry in advance for all the questioning..but this is my first time going and I don't want to look stupid :(

Where is the dinner taking place?

How far away is it from the show?

Is there anyone I can follow to there as I will not have a GPS?

I know this may sound like a very dumb question..but....What are door prizes? Do you get them for literally just walking in the door?

Are there going to be corns offered as door prizes?

Is it possible to purchase additional raffle tickets at the dinner? How much would additional raffle tickets be?

Again I do apologize for the list of questions...heh..

The dinner/raffle will be at the Homewood Suites which is by the airport. It is about 5miles from the Ocean Center where the expo is being held.
I am sure there will be people there you can follow over after the show closes on Saturday. If not - we can also provide a map. It is a pretty easy drive over.

Door prizes are prizes that are randomly given out through out the raffle. Everyone gets a door prize ticket just for being there at no cost. The prizes will depend on what we have available. Mostly it is generic stuff - supplies, candles, tshirts, etc. I think last year we had one or two snakes that were door prizes.

The actual raffle tickets will be sold during the dinner and after dinner before the raffle. They will be $1.00 each and you can purchase as many as you like and enter for whichever prizes interest you.
Carol's raffle is completely separate. That is a way to encourage people to prepay their dinner tickets and as a bonus you also get a ticket for her raffle. That prize will also be drawn for during our raffle event.

Thank you Katie for taking the time to answer my questions. I appreciate it :)

No problem. We have quite a few awesome donations for the raffle so be sure to hold on to some cash for those drawings. I think right now we are up to 21 or 22 confirmed donations and Kathy usually has some additional by the time of the show as well. We have live animals, goods and gift certificates that will all be available. You can enter as many or as few of the raffles as you choose and enter as many tickets into each one as you would like.

I would also like to make a note in this thread. If you wish to donate to the purchase of the Bechtel Award plaque, please contact me via PM! All extra donations will be sent to USARK with the proceeds from the raffle. Thanks!
