Daytona Donations

I picked up another item for the raffle!

http://myweigh.com/scales/pocket-and-mini-scales/triton-t2

I've been using the 120 version of this scale for a year or so- for hatchlings, mice, whatever. I love it! I needed to buy another one today so I ordered two instead! The new scale will be the 300 model. Things I love about it are NORMAL AAA batteries, not some weird watch battery, AND 30 year warranty. Just keep that warranty card and receipt handy!

These photos were sent by Thoma Corley. He has generously agreed to donate a pair of top notch, 5 year old okeetees, one of their yearling babies, and ALL of their '10 clutch, due to hatch very shortly.

These should stir up some interest in raffle ticket sales:

Wonder how the babies will be distributed? Maybe some pairs for raffle and a couple singles as door prizes? Depending on how many hatch of course...

I will be donating either a pair or a trio depending what eats, and some jewelery for door prizes!

Zorro's donation babies have arrived. I am not sure I will be able to go to Daytona- I might be in jail for stealing them!! They had a little photo shoot, and I'll post pics later!!

I've picked up a 4-pack of Advantage for Cats up to 9# and a 4-pack of Advantage for Dogs 21-55#. These retail for about $50 each (per PetMeds) so I'll leave it to Katie to determine if they should be a regular raffle prize, a door prize as 4-packs or split into single tubes for door prizes valued at about $12.50 each.

I just received a package from Dan Eby. He had contacted Kathy that he would donate some snakes. I had no idea how many we were getting!

We have four mexican milksnakes, a pair of graybands and 6 boas!!
They are all beautiful!! Big thanks to Dan!!

A very generous donation!

He asked if we could make the little cards to put on them with the info he emailed us.

Yep - already told Robbie to get me his business name or website info and I will put it with the snakes when we put them on the raffle table.

I have to admit, I am quite taken by the mexican milks in particular. Beautiful little gems! I think I will be entering the raffles for them myself!

I think I am going to break a few of them up into pairs for the raffle. There are two male and two female columbian boas so I will set them up as pairs. I will put the pair of graybands together. The mexican milks - there is one male and three females so I will probably do one pair and then the other two females separately.

Damn, why must I be so far away??? This sounds like a completely fantastic event and I am so bummed I have to miss it. Some day, some day...

We will be donating two critters that were initially to be used for breeding plans that we no longer have a use for.

The first is a blazing blizzard leopard gecko with an "eclipse eye." Bred by Silver State Exotics.

Second is a male red Western Hognose snake. He is a 2008 from John Q. Reptiles.

Your not that far away. Just a hop and a skip here. It is only like a 10hr drive (8hours at night in the dark where you can get away with doing 90+ the whole way lol) to NC from here.
