You sound like my brother, he has a very weak stomach.
Growing up at my dad's house we had a few apple trees growing on our property. We would go and pick them and eat them right off the tree. Some of us did not like apple peels so we would bite off the peel and spit it out. One time a piece of peel landed on said brothers shoe and it grossed him so much he threw up.

The hard drive was hitting 87 percent of capacity too often, and it didn't seem like it was going to get any better without getting a bigger hard drive. Figured I might as well upgrade EVERYTHING at the same time.
I'm planning on moving my secondary server onto this new one as well and hope it can handle it. With my retirement, I've got to be thinking about pinching pennies a bit if I don't want to run out of money way before I or Connie die.
Trying to figure out how much money you need for retirement without knowing that very important variable is pretty tough to do. So do you try to be frugal now, thinking you may live 20 more years? Or do you splurge planning on only living for 5 more years?
Rich I don't know if it helps, but because I post quite a bit of pictures here, I have noticed I can go back and delete them as the threads they go with sort of get lost in time.. I have done that with quite a few. Does that actually save you anything or is that all for nothing?
No, that's really no big deal. Static images really aren't that much of a problem. I've got 600gb for hard drive space just for the websites and that should hold me for a while. I'm predicting video to become much more commonplace on the web, so I got VERY fast drives. YouTube has been a godsend for hosting videos, but I'm pretty sure that won't last for much longer. They have to be using up gobs of disk space and bandwidth there, and they are either going to have to start charging for that service, or cut out linking their videos externally. Or maybe both.
But hopefully cheap (relatively speaking) server technology will be able to keep up with the quickly increasing demands of the users who begin demanding such things as daily fare. Heck, I'm pretty much hooked on video myself and especially the quality that HD offers, so I can't see me getting much enjoyment out of looking at simple static images any longer. Just no comparison. And as such, I specified the components for this server with that future in mind. The problem is going to be that the future is likely going to get here much faster then I can imagine, and regardless, I'll still have fallen short of what I need.
